    Default 26 Illustrations?

Forgive me if this has been brought up before, but I can't find anything on it.

The official site states that there are 26 illustrated pages in the book. I count 21. (Full pages) If you count the pictures that take up 2 pages, you get 27. Then there are approximately 12 semi-illustrated pages.

I was thinking that if there are 26 pages that are illustrated, there might be some sort of clue in each of them for the letters of the alphabet.

Actually, this is a question that I have as well. I'm not sure about the alphabet connection, but I'm trying to figure out exactly where we have 26 full-page color illustrations. It's curious to me because the number 26 is noted specifically both on the "the book-overview" page and the illustration topic on the official forum.

Here's what I've got for full-page color illustrations:

    Page:
    20
    22/23
    25
    41
    47
    48
    58
    62/63
    65
    68
    72/73
    75
    76/77
    80
    86/87
    92
    94
    96/97
    101
    108
    112

That's 21 illustrations. If you count the second page of the double page illustrations, you have 27, not 26. This information may not be important to anything in the long run, but it's bothering me nonetheless. Can anyone else out there explain the 26 pages thing?

If I had to choose one page to eliminate in order to get 26 and not 27 pages, I would choose page 47 on the grounds that is more like a border around the page (like a border around page 12) and is a way of illustrating a morse code message rather than illustrating something in the story.
