1. ## Water

I have tried to read all the posts but please forgive if I repeat concepts.

It seems that the clues so far show messages revealed by the four elements.

K1=Air
K2=Earth
K3=Fire
K4= ?

Of course you have the water on site, as well as the wave form of the sculpture itself.

When we add the four solutions together we get a quintessence (fifth element)

All the elements included have aspects of the quintessence involved too.
Take the petrified wood for instance. A rock made of sun and water and CO2. also lodestone, paper...

So why does this make me think of radio stations?

The letters in k4 could be call signs for radio stations. The first letter is the W translated as an ending Q in K3.

The first is WOBK, call sign for the "Carl D. Bradley" a record breaking ship that was lost in a storm. In the Time magazine article about the two survivors they say..."The sea was so great that men were hidden"

WRUO is University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, PR
WXOG is Metuchen, NJ
WHUL is Washington, DC
WBSO is Boston, MA
WLIF is Baltimore, MD
WBBW is Youngstown, OH

etc...

Might be a way to hide cypher text anyway...

How so?

3. My understanding is that all four parts will reveal a fifth element to the whole puzzle. I think I remember Sanborn saying something like this.

The elements of construction seem to be metamorphic. Take the lodestone for instance...

Earth(iron ore)+Fire(lightning strike)=Lodestone (a brand new element with unique properties not shared by either ingredient)

So in K1 we have illusion described as the interplay of air and light. Shading here is not the coloring of a surface, but like the shade of a tree, contrasted with an absence of light.

How can something invisible be made to hide something else? By altering light so that we perceive reality incorrectly. The element of air is therefore the cypher.

In K2 information is transmitted and hidden by the Earths electromagnetic field. I would like to have a mention of air here also so that there could be a progression to K3, but earth as an element is clearly in play.

K3 could be seen as an interplay of all four elements. Digging into a tomb(earth), piercing the darkness with (fire) and having the flame altered by hot (air) and vision obscured by mist(water).

The fire seems to be the major element in this section. Whether the mist is water vapor or not is conjecture.

So as I see it there are three possibilities.

1. I need to get more sleep.

2. Each section revolves around an element as a cypher or method of decryption

or

3. Each section contains a reference to one or more elements, but not in a systematic way.

The radio station stuff was just a fig newton of my imagination.

4. I guess I should say that this is all thematic supposition, I don't mean to say that the actual decoding is anything but cryptographic.

I just think that if water is a theme in K4 then it might suggest some words to look for in the code.

## K4 solution #3

Hello,

My feeling is that:

K1= Light and dark
K2= Earth
K3= Air and fire
K4= Water

and I assume you feel water waves and radio waves are connected.

My third solution to K4 is:

I have posted directions to solve K4 and the substitution key that I
used under KRYPTOS, 5000 twoller challenge. I welcome any help
or helpful suggestions. Obviously this is a work in process.
