    Default Fairy Map

    Tue Mar 22, 2005 - 16:36

I posted this on Treasure Trove Also.

I need help from someone with a computer and scanner.
I would like to post a picture of the map of page 64.
I would do it, but I don't have a scanner.

First I printed out a outline map of the States, resized it to fit page 64. Then I traced the fairies with tracing paper and lines and placed on top of the map. The lines that the fairies are on line up with the gulf of Texas, and the stars help line up the rest. It shows the 6 fairies pointing to 6 locations with their fingers and six locations with their toes. It also shows 3 locations of (maybe) more Jewels. The states that I have down are:

    Fingers:
    Wa
    Wy
    Ks
    Mi*
    Ga
    Ca

    Toes:
    Id
    Ne
    Ar
    Mi*
    Ms
    Az

The 3 0's on the lines point to:
    Tx
maybe New Mexico and between UT and CO.

If you draw a line from one fairy to another - it looks like the out line of highways. It works out to be a days drive from everywhere. If someone could redo what I've done and see if they get the same locations and then post the picture so we can all look at it.

I've done this two different times, once, I drew the states in before I traced the fairies, and noticed I was trying to place them in certain states that I thought had the tokens. The 2nd time, I drew the outline of the states on the tracing paper, then the fairies on 64 and last I went back to the outline of the states and traced the states in. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

    Thanks,
    Mary

    Hi Mary,

Interesting thought, but I don't see anything in the Northeast area.

Yeah, if this were true, the closest to me in Vt would be ID...

The North Eastern States are so small that you can drive them all in a good days drive. I know because we are retired and take trips all over the US - As far as VT goes the closest token on this map would be MI! Not ID. I'm not saying this map is right, only that it fits on top of maps of the US perfectly. I only wanted other people to try it and see what they come up with. Just remember to resize the map to fit the fairy's out line.

You may want to go to Treasure's Trove site also to view this suject. I have posted it on both sites.

I have a map and others are now working on the same map. I don't have a scanner to send to others and I'm hoping someone will follow my steps that has a scanner so they can post it so all can see it.

Ok, here is my attempt at the map. The dots represent the most outstretched hand and foot of each fairy.

The PINK dots represent the largest outline where all fairies are within the US borders. A lot of the pixie dust is in Mexico, south of Texas, from where it springs up in the picture.

The GREEN dots represent the entire picture, pixie dust/stars and all, inside the US borders. I shrunk the fairies down so that every bit of dust and stars fit in the borders.

Not much happening on the east coast but it was a fun exercise!
