1. I guess I was not clear enough, Jep. TRUTH has a meaning that is not what you think it is. This is not a trivial find.

CP TRUTH NTE relates directly to the latest online clue.

2. pws, do you need much external info to interpret the CP TRUTH NTE, or is it something like TRUTH.NET, or TRUTH TEN?

Jep, by the way, great find TRUTH. I don't specifically remember seeing it before.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we continue to make discoveries on this page for quite a while. I’m reproducing part of a write-up from a private e-mail some time ago. This is using external information.

SL posted RE: geomancy some time ago, and "The wisdom of numbered lines" has a direct application in geomancy. In a classic sense, a specific form of geomancy seeks wisdom by poking lines of holes in the ground with a stick, and interpreting them - a hole is nothing "so from nothing is the key revealed". Also, as shown at the link, circles are used; "zero" also is nothing.

http://www.accessnewage.com/articles/astro/TLOUIS4.htm

There are 8 lines in the Words of the King. If we look at these lines using a geomantic approach, we get two groups of 4 lines.

1) Letter Count:

The geomantic interpretation using letter count for the lines is

"Albus Via", (“the path of wisdom")

00 (Albus) 12 letters, even, yields two marks, etc.
00
0
00

0 (Via)
0
0
0

This alone is interesting, since Albus refers to "white" and "wisdom" and the text refers to "wisdom of numbered lines" and "land of white" , it seems to be more than chance. Of the 256 possible combinations (2 to the 8th power), I would conservatively guess that the probability is no greater than 1 out of 4 to get a reading that matches the theme of the surrounding text (this is just a judgment, the actual odds may be much lower).

Also note from the link that polarity is used in geomancy, and that the polar opposite of the reading is "people in flux" (I'm no expert, just a rough translation)

2) Dot Count:

We can perform a geomantic interpretation of the 8 lines using a dot count - dots are also sometimes to generate the patterns (dot, point =nothing). If you do so, you will get a vertically reversed sequence of the one above.

“Via Albus”

The odds of getting a sequence of 8 lines that are directly opposite a given sequence, if I figured correctly, are 1:256.

Combining these odds with the odds of getting the subject matter in the first place, the odds appear to be no better than 1:1000.

This entire analysis didn't take very long, but I find it intriguing

3. Rob,

No outside information required.

4. Thank, Phil. I will try to put aside some time to look at it. Just to be clear, I do not believe that many of these things we are discussing are required for the basic working of the puzzle. However, I DO believe that, taken in sum, they indicate the level of intelligence behind the puzzle.

I don't know much about puzzles, but have seen two others. I did not find anywhere near this amount of peripheral information, and those puzzles had much much more material in which to hide things. (Maybe I just didn't look at them in relevant ways?)

Peace was never meant to be found, here the Romans put the begining after the start and before the end.

OK PWS, I'll bite. I don't see what you are getting at. Care to elaborate?

Jep

6. Jep,

I'm not trying to get you to bite. Only trying to help without actually giving the answers away.

Here is what I mean about CP TRUTH NTE relating to the latest clue. I've put it in a spoiler so those that want to try and figure it out can.

7. pws,

Thanks for sharing that. Would this make any sense to you?

8. Rob,

Nothing would surprise me at this time. Almost everything the authors write has more than one intended meaning, not to mention all the wrong interpretations we can add on top that.

I bet any future treasure hunt we get involved with will be boring in comparison to Maranatha.

10. I lost the reference to 100 / 8. It was a take-off on the post by "lastof". It may have been in the Shugborough inscription thread "DOU .." (?), which has disappeared.

100 / 8 = 12.5, the average of 12 and 13.

Here's a quick way to get some gold out of the puzzle. Take the snake eyes on p. 13, and super-impose the position onto the p. 12 Pig Pen. You should find two very relevant letters (t.i.m., much more than this).
