Thread: Anybody into Astronomy?

I'd like to help you, but since I'm new to the forum I can't send PM's yet. =) And I also am only slightly-proficient with astrology.

How much "into astronomy" does one need to be? I do own a large telescope. 12.5" but I don't use it often because it doesn't fit in my car. I have a couple of astronomy books somewhere. If I can help I will...but if you can't interpret your data from online sources, I doubt I would be much help.

I just realized you're in the menagerie thread. I haven't looked at it much but I remember signs of planets...and some sort of alignment played into the original right? If you're looking for alignments of sun and moon and other planetary bodies with dates and such, I would probably try an astronomy club. The hunt is in the UK so I would choose a city and google it along with "astronomical society". They probably have timetables on their site or links to somewhere that does. Other options to find the info you need might include an area astrophysical observatory. If my post is completely off the mark, I apologize, but your request was a little vague.

Not an expert on astronomy, but I believe it has a role to play in solving the puzzle. Or at least celestial activity does.
