Being so near to Easter, I was just dyeing to say it. Guess the yolks on me. Just trying to be punny and end up with egg on my face.

.........time to add a DAR ring to my collection.........

A few things that I found interesting:

1.) It seems like a lot of the first letters of a word begin with a vowel. For example: ever, ideas, enough, all, in, everything, everyone, everywhere, and, etc...

2.) I thought ending the clue with "oui" was odd. So just playing around, I made o=y, u=e, and i=s. When you do that, you get a perfect caesar shift of ten. Coincidence. Oui?

3.) Faberge is a French word.

    4.) Stone WALL JACK SON.

5.) There are exactly 100 words in the clue. (Counting the date as one word.) Someone has mentioned this already, and I too find it remarkable.

6.) Some of the wording seems weird. There are words that really aren't necessary in order to understand the content. For example, do we need "That's good" in there? Could this be because they needed a certain word count?

7.) Does anyone think there could be some connection with the Statue of Liberty? The French made it for the US. Lady Liberty cradles a book bearing the date of Independence Day. It is near water. I was wondering if ever it (or possibly some buildings/structures on Ellis Island) was sinking? I know the Statue of Liberty had some major repairs done a few years ago. Could it have needed reinforcements due to it sinking? And it is located in a National Park. It gets lots of visitors. And "Wall" Street is nearby. I really could be reaching, but I thought it was worth just putting it out there.

Does any of this seem to you like it might be worth pursuing?

I actually have a pretty good idea where it is, I believe. UNFORTUNATELY I am not an "independantly mobile" person. By this, I mean I have no vehicle, nor money to buy a bus or plane ticket, nor even time to do so, as I have school. LOTSA schoolwork. I'd like to team up with someone for this hunt. I definitely have something to add to anyone's work. So if anyone is interested in teaming up, please let me know.

    Yours,
    Me

at least you have TIME to join the hunters. That's cool. And you're humble. That's even cooler!

Wishing you lots of luck and hoping someone teams up with you, and if not, then spill your notes here. If it helps someone, I hope he/she is big enough to give you credit.

Well, I have had 1 offer, but unfortunately, it's in a place I don't need. I need to find someone who can check out Illinois, if we can come up with a solution that satisfies them. (Lol, theres a hint of how I'm thinking, right there.)

Actually, I wouldn't be keeping any hunt prizes, even when I DO win some. I am incredibly poor (college student putting myself through - I'm unwilling to burden my mother) so would DEFINITELY need cash over prizes :P

Well... maybe except for the axe that scrollquest will be releasing. THAT I might keep, as the axe is my best weapon

been there...worked at baskin & robbins to earn a few extra dollars waaaay back when I was a sophomore at UT Austin. If I were you, I'd keep the treasure (if I would ever find one LOL). It would be a wonderful token to always remember that those struggling times also had some great and fun moments.
