That's what the website seemed to indicate, Fox.

    Default on line clues

I sent "Thanks USA" an e-mail asking them prices and where to get the clue book since I will not be on line this weekend. Well they called me on the phone and said the cost was nothing and the clues are on line and you can print each chapter by itself or all of them if you want. It sounds like alot fun for my 10 year old and me, even if we don't win, we'll get a history lesson.

    Snowqueen,

I would if I could. I am stumped on it for the time being myself. I spent some time last night just going through the whole puzzle and answering everything I knew without looking it up. This morning spent some time on the windmills as they are so hard for me to read. That is all I have had time for today, but will plan on trying to tackle that puzzle some more tomorrow. rarbowen

As for the sudoku, I am unsure it works out. Because I get 2 3's for column 3, just from the clues. 35 states at vicksburg, gives a 3, and 1963 was the year of the assassination, gives a 6 in column 2 and a 3 in column 3.

    chapter 5

I am screwed. I sukk at anagrams - so heres MY answers to the questions, and I hope someone will share with me the anagrams. Also, I think 1 may be wrong, but unsure which, since the hint for the 6 letter word seems to point to the word "eureka", but I do not have a "u".

'63 is indeed the year of M.E.'s early demise but I got a different number of states sent to Vicksburg. Are you sure you didnt count the states that sent both N & S troops twice? I got 28 total states....
