    Default The Great Urban Race

Part scavenger hunt, part road race. It's kind of like a mini "The Amazing Race". Solve clues to find locations and collect items around your city. Some trivia questions, anagrams, suduko, it's different in each city. I did it last year and had a great time. You get a discount on the regular price if you register before the new year. Small prizes are awarded.

Oh how I'd love to do something like this - shame it's not being run in the UK.

If anyone is interested its on again this year, there are still 15 venues before the championships in New Orleans in November.

How cool would it be if you all got through to the final - what a race.

    Good Luck everyone.

Well, we just did the Boston race this past Saturday. We had a blast. Very hectic at the begining trying to figure out all of the clues. One was a cryptogram another was a logic puzzle. The logic puzzle was one of those wth 5 characters, 5 cars, 5 colors of hair, etc. You had to figure out who the 'murderer' was by 15 clues posted in a restaurant.
You had to find locations from the clues and then go to those places and take a picture.
No real physical challenges other than running around Boston and up and down all the subway stairs.
The top teams were fit runners who could run the whole course.
We ended up walking the second half. Finished 120 out of 250.
I reccommend this to anyone looking for a fun adventerous day.
We are going to race again next year and hopefully break the top 100.
    Team G2
