Check out the reviews of this book on Amazon. I'm going to read a couple chapters this weekend at the bookstore but not sure if I'm going to buy it.

I may wait and see what the first "riddle" is...

Amazon says the book is $16.47 since most people are trying to make a 50% profit.

They will have to sell at least: 6,250 copies to break even. 6,250 x $8 = $50,000.00

They don't have the used copy market where the book goes for $6 bucks.

Still setting the puzzle up to be done in 6 months............they need sales.

Where's Rusty when you need him? He can see right thru the BS.

Interesting that when the sixth(last) riddle is provided, the needed
burial location will likely be under snow.

No Tron they will be sitting right there waiting for you to show up. Maybe even have coffe and donuts to boot.

    Winner Selection
The winner must provide the key code and all pertinent information to the website www.FindPandorasBox.com within 48 hours of recovering the treasure.
How will they know it was recovered and claimed in 48 hours?

I don't like this 6 month thing. If they had the money then let the treasure hunt loose. Any capping in treasure hunting just smells like a fixed game?

I image that think it will create suspense, but here's an example that happened last year:

Center Daily Times (Penn State area) created a treasure hunt in which clues would be
hidden in the classified section everyday for forty-five days each one being more specfic on where the treasure (claim for $1000) was 'buried'

I saw the first clue. The second one was absent. The third one was absent.
The fourth one said "The treasure hunt has been cancelled"

Insider information had someone grab it about fifteen minutes after the paper was
being printed on the first night.

So much for selling papers (and suspense)

Within the official rules, I found rule 2 particularly odd. While checking out this book at Amazon, I found it was released in September of 2007. The rules state you must have proof of purchase of a hard copy AFTER June 1, 2008.

Does that mean that all the people who spent up to 24.98 (list price) within the past 9 months must now purchase another copy to participate in the hunt? If that is the case it just doesn't seem fair .

That being said the novel itself looks interesting enough to pique my interst whether or not the hunt is legitimate.

They can do as they please get a lawyer sue a corp that is dry and be out of $75,000 after the lawyer sucks them dry...........which he promised he could get the 50K but wants a hourly fee.

Now no one can plead ignorance.........

so basically, whoever is closest to the burial site on the day the sixth clue is released wins. I signed up for the clues without buying the book.. so If the clues look hopeful you can always buy the book after the fifth one is released...
