    Default Reward for Holly Pictures

Filmmaker offers reward for Holly photos

CLEAR LAKE — A documentary photographer is offering a reward for photos taken at Buddy Holly’s last performance at the Surf Ballroom.

The documentary film will chronicle The Winter Dance Party of 1959.

Filmmaker Sevan Garabedian is offering a reward for clues leading to Clear Lake photos from Feb. 2, 1959.

January and February of 2009 will put the spotlight on the city of Clear Lake, Iowa and the Surf Ballroom. The 50th anniversary of “the day the music died” will be remembered and the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson will be celebrated.

The performers played their last show on Feb. 2, 1959, at the Surf Ballroom before boarding a plane that crashed in a field north of Clear Lake.

Photographs of Holly and the rest of the troupe, which also included Dion and the Belmonts, and Frankie Sardo have surfaced and have been made public from all the venues they played on that tour except for a show in Davenport and their last show at the Surf.

“We have heard about a young girl (around 14 years old in 1959) who took several rolls of pictures that night and has shown them to people in the past in her basement. We’re very hopeful that she is still living in the area and realizes how important these photos are to so many people. The only clues we have is that her husband worked at a gas station across from U.S. Highway 18 in the late 1980s and that she also lived near there. We have heard from two different sources that they had seen these photos in the past, but it was close to 17 years ago now,” Garabedian said.

Garbedian and fellow filmmaker Jim McCool are working on a documentary that will chronicle that last tour.

“We’ve been in touch with members of the families of Buddy, Ritchie and J.P. and you can’t imagine how much these pictures would mean to them as well,” Garabedian said. “The opportunity to unveil these famed photographs on the 50th anniversary would make for a special moment for all those celebrating the music, the surviving members of the tour and especially to many of the fans who were there that night.”

For more information or if you have any insight into photos taken on the night of Feb. 2, 1959, contact Garabedian at sevan1@sympatico.ca or call him at 514-931-6959.

The profile I came up with:

A very stable woman. Private. Senstive to the set backs of others.

I have contacted the director and gave him a name whose initials are V.H.

He is checking out the lead and in order to avoid any mishaps or invansion of privacy I have not posted the woman's full name.

    Cordially

    Patrick Jane

P.S. Life is like a roller coaster.

    Dear Readers,

The producer gave me some work. Still hot on the Holly pictures that will take some time

Who they all want to find is "Ed Auxner" and can be seen in a very famous picture:

Sat. 1/24/59 UNRECORDED: Buddy and the "Winter Dance Party" tour perform at the Eagles Club in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Frankie, the Big Bopper and Buddy had their picture taken with Jim Lounsberry and Ed Auxner, local DJs. Jim was a Chicago TV personality who had a how called "Bandstand Matinee". Ritchie Valens and the Bopper appeared on the afternoon show, lip synching their records.

What is to funny Ed/Edwin and the words AUXNER will anagram to REX AUN or in the English King Aun. This is all connected:

Ane, On, One, Auchun or Aun the Old (Audhun, the same name as the A-S name Edwin) was the son of Jorund and one of the Swedish kings of the House of Yngling, the ancestors of Norway's first king, Harald Fairhair.

So this mystery guy created a myth from a myth to funny. Only 1 living person would know who he is so I'm tracking him down.
