I think he says "silence is..." then realizes he's singing a line from a different verse ("silence is bliss") and then gets back on track and says "crown"... so it comes out "silence is crown." I'm sure "every night another day" was also a mistake.

And even though the "stuff" picture doesnt contain adddiiiitttional clues, there has to be some reason for the things included in it, or else the stuff wouldn't exist. Why pack up and hide a map of California and Nevada if they are irrelevant? Then again it does look like an atlas, so maybe he just opened it to that page randomly or as a red herring. But still, same goes for the map surrounded by a border of letters. Did you notice the letters are different than the map we have? It's possible that we could infer a method into that. Or we could if we were Sherlock Holmes. And the tickets and documentation wouldn't be hidden away if they weren't involved. I don't know. Just saying.

Default The Weirdo Deluxe at Momo's in Austin, TX.

Good show. Good time. He mentioned this forum from the stage which was kinda neat.

After the show, Steve asked if I'd gotten any clues from the performance. I think he was joking.

I agree - The phonetic letters around the topo map - notice the line drawn between several. Method, or randomness.....

What a great hunt this is!

Regarding the map, the letters on the outside are each unique, and together they exhaust all the letters of the alphabet with the exception of S, W, and Z. I am interpreting the "2"-looking thing as a capital Q, but perhaps it is the Z (in which case Q is missing). Also, there is an extra character that is not S, W, Z, or Q, but looks like a T. It isn't T either, since there is a T that looks much more T-like elsewhere. Taking the "o" as the starting point, we have:

    B?FPO (the ? looks like a curly T)
    LJCRI=TN
    MKHG
    DYVQUX

Three pairs of consecutive letters form 2-letter abbreviations for states:

    RI (Rhode Island)
    TN (Tennessee)
    NM (New Mexico)

For what it's worth, I think the "5" on the CD flap simply indicates that this is the 5th album for The Weirdo Deluxe.

This puzzle is clever but annoying. It is seemingly easy to reorder most of the lines in "The Story So Far" so that they tell a coherent story, except that there are pieces missing, lines left over that don't fit anywhere. I don't want to type them all out here, but... where does the dog come from? *Who* paid gold for it? There are some missing lines here.

Anyone know where they might be? I looked for hidden tracks and couldn't find them.

"Where the Blue Meets the Blue" reads like a riddle, plain and simple.

Read literally, it could describe the sun's journey from horizon to horizon. Where the blue meets the blue is where the sky and sea touch. "I'll be looking your way," then, means "east."

One line I can't make out:

"What turned the sun into sex"?
"We'll turn the set into sex"?
    "What turn the sad intersects"?

    ...something like that.

Part of me -- the part that saw "Romancing the Stone" when he was a kid -- wants to think this song contains cryptic instructions for folding the map that came with the CD. Listen to it, look at the map, and see if you come up with anything. You'll ask a great, big "Y."

    FB -

I put the line about the dog after the one about throwing the guts into the alley for the cats and dogs

A number of characters could have paid - I chose to put this line after the pawned again

I don't think a number of characters could have paid. The royal daughter didn't, the dog and the fish couldn't, the apprentice stole it, the person who forged the key didn't need to, and the fisherman simply found it, so why would anyone pay for it?
