Good find - lets drive this thing home!
Yes, and there is even a Blue River and Blue River Lake near the city identified.

So, does anyone want to step out and say what album clues/songs are "solved" and which need to be focused on yet? I've had no luck with any of the short album and map ciphertexts.

It is a NASA cup with the "Failure is not an option" quote. It must be tied in with the whole sun-moon-planets-space theme somehow. In the second video he says "exxxxxcept" followed by the drawn X. This is the hint on how to decode "My Silver Key" as discussed previously on the board. The third is a clear reference to using/identifying colors with the RGB notation. Not sure how that applies yet, although that 5-sided Rubik's cube appears in the first few videos.
I'll follow up my own post here with an observation. I believe the hint in video #4 is that the "something funny here" is the nametag which appears to be changed from Marvin to Melvin. It is hard to see but appears so at the end of the video. The "EL" must be the now known hint for decoding the bingo.

    ah, nothing"

ABABA - not sure what this means,

also earlier in the song you hear "5,6,7,8"

Or possibly "L" too, depending on which version of the Bacon method is used.

I had tried using Bacon cipher with The Story So Far (even though a letter short), but could not make anything useful. I may still have the wrong order yet, but does anyone want to share a hint if this is how to solve this song?

    Default New Blog Post

In case anyone is still following this hunt, Steve has a new blog post on the Silver Key website. He is still planning to release some clues before Sept 15. He also mentioned providing some discussion on clues solved/potentially solved so far. That should be fun, even though I've made little progress so far.

I found the last comment most interesting. He said there are no clues on the Marvin Spangler videos. I find that hard to believe, except if he is differentiating between hints to solve the album clues and hints to find the treasure. To me, it seems like there are some very deliberate actions indicating how to solve the album clues.

    Hi,

I'm not following this hunt but noticed there that the Silver Key recently set up a Facebook page which you can find here:

    The Silver Key | Facebook

The hunt organiser posted a message 3 hours ago saying that between now and 15th September to celebrate 1 year anniversary of the hunt they will be posting some cool info and actual clues.

Just thought you might like to know in case you didn't already.

    Default FYI: solutions confirmed

Steve, the creator of Find the Silver Key, confirmed on his blog several of the clues' solutions found earlier by clever Twelevers.

He is wrong about the phonetic puzzle in My Silver Key. It really is "next two capitol" which has a completely different meaning. This led me to think of a building and consider that the "w" was not used. Bah!
