My issue must be in transit - sounds like fun, in a creepy real-world stalker way.

Ok - so 3229 Mission Street, San Francisco CA 94117 (the contact info for theatavist.net) is probably out (a media company - maybe home office, probably not). Bogus phone and fax number on the whois registry.

    His website is above.
Seems to be updating twitter and is currently staying in a cheap motel.
Reference to postal orders, anonymity and flying.

Hmm - contemplating how much of the next 30 days of my life to spend on this guy.

I'm not sure this guy knows what kind of fish tank he just lowered himself into.

I hope the magnifying glasses are put down at the end of the hunt-for-Evan, but I remember the types of people still carrying on after Masquerade.

    Vanish - Finding Evan Ratliff | Wired.com
Evan Ratliff was fluked at about 7 p.m. EDT tonight by Jeff, the owner of Naked Pizza in New Orleans. Jeff had been tipped off that Evan was in New Orleans by @vanishteam, which has been tracking Evan through some serious high-tech maneuvering, which will all be explained soon. It involves IP tracking, fem-bots, fake names and much more.

@Vanishteam alerted Jeff, a long-time Wired reader, this morning that Evan was in New Orleans and that he might be coming to them, the one place that serves gluten-free pizza in the city. They alerted all of their delivery men and started to stake out other possible locations that Evan might visit. Waiting just outside a book reading, Jeff saw someone biking toward him who resembled Evan. Do you know anybody named Fluke? And that was it. Afterward, he comped Evan some gluten-free pizza. Evan was startled and stunned.

Interviews with Jeff and Evan, and many more details from @vanishteam will be coming soon. Asked by Wired what hell do with the $5,000, Jeff said that hes thinking about sharing it with @vanishteam or giving it to a charity that helps people who have disappeared.
It's a wrap. I guess the moral is not to go on the run if you are gluten intolerant. Or something.
