Click on the link for the official rules. All of the details are there for you. This hunt is also posted on various sweepstakes sites.

I read all of the long... boring... detailed rules before I even played the "game" - but just to make sure I wasn't a dolt, I went back and double-checked:

"ELEVEN (11) SCAVENGER HUNT PRIZES: A gift determined at Sponsor's sole discretion. The "Approximate Retail Value" of each Scavenger Hunt Prize varies anywhere from approximately $50 to approximately $350."

That is why I was hoping someone from here would collect the prize and at least tell us (or show us) what it was ~

    Mysty,

The prize for the first clue (Ear Inn) was a one hundred dollar gift certificate for a Trapeze School in NYC.

The prize for Clue 2 (Castle Clinton) was an 1884 copy of Leaves of Grass. The book was also the clue, but the finder got to keep it as the prize. Walt Whitman's poetry is an integral part of this hunt and the Levi's "Go Forth" ad campaign.

I did quite enjoy researching the SS Central America's demise in this scavenger hunt.... I had gotten the same retrieval info, but living on the west coast of Florida, I doubt I'll be able to retrieve any of the objects myself. Oh well, the clues & history are fun!

Grayson is traveling on a type of steamer that often made a stop in Key West, before heading to Panama.

There may very well be a clue in Florida.

I kind of figured that there would be one in Florida... either the east coast - or more likely - Key West. But I'm up near Tampa, and Key West is like 8 hrs. away.... so not worth the travel expense & time for a prize valued between $50-$350! But cool, anyway ~

    Default Clue 3 Charleston

The clue 3 drop will be at 11:11PM EDT tonight at the College of Charleston. There is a webcam at the exact location.

College Way and Green Way - College of Charleston

The seeker must light a candle in memory of those lost during the 1857 sinking of the SS Central America, also known as the Ship of Gold.
