    I only had to brute force the time for future, and not much was required there. I may even have missed something that gave a more definite hint, but the clue at least put me in the ballpark. All other info was either given explicitly or hinted at with enough detail to get exact values.

    Yes, that's true. The first and second gave everything and only the third (time) was without a clue (that I could find).

    I guess I wasn't expecting the parallel story to have as much as it did vs the book the overall story was based on.

    So ... after all this blather ... I guess I have no real complaints, except maybe the time for the last (future) and maybe it was somewhere and I didn't 'get it'. Although -- the parallel story line wasn't as clear as in the past --- perhaps things are just ramping up? ok .... don't mind me ....

    At any rate -- this whole quest game is one of the best I have encountered! The vibe alone is wonderful.

    It's all good!

    There were blue-eyed clues that rock;
    For the future time with the clock;
    Once that you know it;
    You'll think I'm a poet;
    And find what you need to unlock...

    I've seen the picture clear up a bit, and I've got the past - and see clues to the future - read through the related story, but it hasn't dropped into place for me yet.

    Look at what worked for the past... see if anything in the present or future shares a commonality - a ghost perhaps?

    Default clue for time

    I found the clue for the future time to be relatively understandable...
    No brute force (or endless clicking) required....
    PM me if anyone who has solved by "force" wants to know

    I got there the right way this time. Found the missing link for two dates and used brute force on the time machine for the second date(I'd already done the past one unwittingly). Then the third one was clued a time.

    All right, just getting into this and I could use a nudge. I have the date from the Necronomicon and it lightened the picture. I'm assuming this is the past. The present would make sense as being the time, day, and month of the story, but I don't think a specific year is given. If I had that, I could figure out the future. Am I missing something?

    I thought perhaps the songs the ghosts were singing gave a year, cause they all came out on the same year, but none of those dates worked either.

    Could someone PM me with a hint? Please?

    All right, thanks for the nudges. I'm through now. I did have to brute force the final time, but the rest were all right. Either I'm getting old, or I just have too many codes running through my head cause I just don't seem to see things like I used to. Anyways, see you at the next one.

    Default I've solved it, except evidently I haven't

    Got past and future, no problem. I could see what to do right away. Present? I'm sure I have when "now" should be, but it doesn't work. The diarist's demise is clearly indicated, and the fellow has been gone some time, and besides we know all about the history of the telling of the story. We know the date very well. Time, obvious. But it doesn't work.
