I did one done by this company for a jewelry store in Raleigh. It is not what it appears. Yes, the winner gets a diamond ring but you are NOT in any way looking to outsmart, out think or outrun someone and FIND the diamond somewhere.

If you dont have the best phone, best phone service, and a lot of luck plus being in the right place at the right time, you have no chance. You will really be answering questions texted to you using the local attractions and texting them back at whihc time you will be awarded (or deducted) points. You dont spell something correctly..deduction. You dont interpret something as the designers did (which happened to tons of teams and was one of many complaints)- deduction. Any battery or "phone" error (or "service" error which is their go-to for complaint reasoning)- deduction. Bottom line, when there is human error in competition is one thing but when it's technology where it is impossible for everyone to be on equal playing fields or to monitor...that is another. I knew this when I got the first message that said, "Your answer was correct, we are compiling your next question. Wait for another text." "wait for yet another text?" Does everyone get that message and if so, how often? How was the lag time determined bythe computer? Does it effect the outcome? Yes, after talking to other teams, it had to.

So, you can be the most logic based puzzler that every tapped into his/her creative side and flexed their genius IQ and Harvard degree to boot, but if you have AT&T and a phone older than 3 months (and have knocked over a salt shacker lately), you might want to skip this one.

Interesting Domino. This one will be near me and I have actually sent them an entry. They "choose" who will play and who will not. They need a week after contact to let you know if you won a slot.

If my daughter and I are chosen it will be a fun day however I look at it. She is 23 and I look forward to all the days we can spend together.

At the least. We will have a laugh, have a good meal and go over to The Rivers afterward. And if we "luck" into a win. Well we will still go to The Rivers to see if we can win the tax payment.

It is totally false about choosing who plays. They said the same thing here, something like limited to 250 couples or something...there were over 1500 people there. The line was around the block for two different check ins and we arrived 1.5 hours early...line already. You will get chosen, everyone does. And, if you visit the jewelry shop, you'll get an "extra" clue.

Good luck to you if you do it but this is solid feedback and advice. It happened two blocks from my house and if it did again, I would head the out of town. I eventy wrote to the local jewelry store that put it on and voiced my concern about the false advertising after the fact. Needless to say, when I bought a ring, it was not from them.

Sorry to be negative on this but it is a realistic synopsis. I am an event coordinator by profession so I looked at this from a non treasure hunter standpoint as well.

What will happen is that there will be an end time. The after party they talk about will host everyone and be the last location you are instructed via phone to go to. There, everyone will wait around while all the sponsors are read and such yet, you will still not know who the winner is. Then, in all the suspense, they will CALL the number of the phone of the team that wins. It says clearly on there site (as it did at the others done by scvngr) that "there is a ring hidden" which is simply not the case.

My advice, google some videos they have of it from past events and in all of them you will see the gathering at sponors bar/restuarant and the calling of the winner. You have no way of seeing how the points event worked out, if there were mistakes or even if the winners werent simply plants 9not that I am saying they were).

Ok, I have said enough about this. I felt strongly when I attended and contacted them afterwards. Its the old customer service/marketing mistake, you make someone unhappy they will tell everyone.
