The number that follows each of the co-ordinates is the elevation (in meters) within Google Earth that the co-ordinates are best viewed from.

I too have solved the first puzzle and agree - it is the name of a place in the UK.

    Hi animefreekben,

It really is not that difficult to order this book, even if you live in the US. You can use Ebay or order directly from Amazon.UK. You can also order from the independent sellers listed on Amazon.US. Both Paypal and Amazon will automatically convert the currency at check out. If you have an Amazon.US account, you can use it to sign in to Amazon.UK.

I purchased the book from an Ebay seller with a good reputation and the whole transaction cost me less than 20 dollars, including shipping. I received the package in about 10 days.

I ordered this book from Amazon. It took several weeks to arrive, but it was well-worth the wait. It is a beautiful book.

Some of you have said that you have solved the first illustration and derived a place. I too know what the place is. But that may or may not be the solution. From what I have read, I believe every illustration will give you a place on earth, but the illustrations' solutions are not always a place. Some might be a person or a concept. You have to look at the illustration and ALL of its clues taken together to arrive at a solution.

For those who are working on this, I have some questions:
What do you think of the illustrations in the circles going around all of the pages? Do you think they are important or merely decoration?
What about the numbers on the pages with text? What are they and why so many?
    How important is the text?

If we have more interest in this book, it would be easier to break this down into chapters/illustrations for discussion purposes. I hope we can get something going....

What about the numbers on the pages with text? What are they and why so many? COORDINATES YOU ENTER INTO GOOGLE EARTH. SOME VERY INTERESTING SITES. SO FAR TIM D HAS SAID SOME COORDINATES RELATE TO FINAL ANSWERS OTHERS ARE JUST INTERESTING.

How important is the text? NOT SURE ITS PRETTY OUT THERE AND SEEMS TO BE DESCRIBING A LOT OF CAVES AND TUNNELS AND DOES NOT ALWAYS RELATE TO THE PICTURE.

I have been working on this a bit had to take a break from that darn Fandango! Its a neet book and I have had a lot of fun visiting all the places around the globe I never even knew existed. Its worth the 20 bucks just for the coordinates. As for the final answer I have some ideas but I am pretty sure I am way off track. Tomorrow Saturday UK time the telegraph will be breaking down and solving one of the puzzles. I will be interested to see if I am even close in my reasoning. I received the book today, looks interesting.
Does anyone on here know what's happening with aother Forum which seemed to be the most active in discussing this puzzle.
    The URL is
Global Treasure Hunt Forum Index page
There was a lot of discussion on there, and this is the sort of puzzle where teamwork is really helpful because there is so much general knowledge recognition involved.

But today I tried to log on and have been banned. I haven't posting anything yet.

    Have they made it private?

    Thanks
    Tim
