I really like the feature of being able to check the answer of the first clue. If we had, had that feature on the Riddle before, I think we would have been able to solve it faster. I really went off on a tangent with that one lol if I had this feature before, I wouldn't have had to research a lot of non-sense web pages that I did with that one.

I have a question too....Can HH see all of the answers that are input by the players? I am asking this because I had the correct answer to the Riddle two days ago. I had an apostrophe in my answer, as that is what your format originally required. My answer was rejected. At some point, the format was changed to not include an apostrophe. I continued to search for the answer for two more days. By chance, I tried that answer again, without the apostrophe, and it was accepted the second time. But had I not decided to give it a second try, I would not have obtained the points because I had already tried that same answer, and it was rejected. If such a situation would arise again, would HH be able to look back through a person's answers, to see if they did indeed input the correct answer?
This added feature was a suggestion from two players. Their reasoning, which we viewed as a valid reason, was to know if they were on the right track with solving the entire riddle. We know that frustration may arise if players spend hours or even days trying to solve a riddle not knowing if their direction is correct. Frustration is not our goal!

However, we also understand that a riddle is just that, a RIDDLE, and is more gratifying if solved without any direction. Therefore, following the suggestion of Genetic Blend, we will only release this feature when a Riddled Hunt goes unanswered for 4 days (our Riddled Hunts are usually active for a full week).

As for the current riddle, this feature will stay until the riddle's end to be fair to the players.

In regards to storing incorrect answers for reference, it is an excellent suggestion and will most likely be implemented sometime during the current game.

As always, we appreciate the suggestions and feedback from players (and their patience with that glitch - that apostrophe is going to give us nightmares). Thankfully, it has been fixed.

Hello HH and all hunters: I did not solve the riddle, I see where the month and day came from, but how was the year found?

cryselgance -There were 92 letters (runes) in the riddle. We had to count in "scores" (20's), so each letter represented20. 92 x 20 = 1840. It took me forever to figure this out too.

To keep our wits sharp and our search engine skills fresh, why don't we set up some HH-style hunts for each other while we wait for the next riddle and sequential hunts? No points, of course, but you can win bragging rights and the awe and undying admiration of fellow HH hunters. Maybe we can keep track of how long it takes between posting the question and the finding of each answer (post your response here on tweleve), to see who comes up with fair but challenging hunts. Editorial feedback welcome, regarding the definitions of "fair" and/or "challenging," of course. I'll start:

The title of a 1915 song, lyrics by William A. Downs, that begins, "Oh, why did I meet that girl tonight . . . " (five words)

Puma Lion - great idea! Is it "She Chose The Primrose Path"?
