Fun diversion, too far for me to go pick up though. Any idea what the schedule is going to be for releasing the others?

I know where this is, and what the "caudata" is. I am too far to go. If anyone in the CT area wants to message me, I can give you some hints.

I've got the milling. Another fun hunt! Thank you, HH.

For some reason, the HH website won't let me enter the code. Maybe I waited too long. Sorry. I've e-mailed HH and hope to be able to show the hunt as "completed" so people can plan their days accordingly. The little park is worth seeing, though.

When I realized the code was hidden an hour's drive from my home, at a place I had recently put on my "to do" list of day trips, I couldn't resist. There was a 10-ton piece of slag labeled "Salamander" just to the right of the image shown in HH's photo. When I looked underneath, I saw a piece of sandstone that looked out of place and voila. I put it in my trunk and then explored the park with my dogs.

Quite a number of people were visiting the park, even though tours stopped at 2 p.m. (I arrived about 3:15.) It's a love little park by the river and you can cross a bridge to a little dirt road leading to a path that lets you walk along the river bank. There will be guided tours of the site this summer: Saturdays from 10 to 2. Apparently the volunteers raised a lot of money for restoration of the site. There will be a dedication of the refurbished giant turbine on July 12 at 11 a.m. I'll post the name of the website after the hunt is officially closed.

FYI- When Puma Lion could not enter the code, she emailed me to ask if I'd give it a try for her so others would not make the trip today when the milling was already gone. Neither of us realized it would instantly post the winner's name. We thought it would show the hunt as over, but that the name would appear after HH confirmed the results (last year, didn't they ask for a photo of the site before making it "official"?). Anyway, it has the wrong name listed as the winner, and I let them know that a well. Puma Lion gets all the credit on this one - I was too far away to make the trip. Congratulations!

Congrats Puma Lion! You are lucky to be so close to the HH hunts! That park does look interesting. I read about it on the website. Good job!
