    James Frey's birthday is September 12, 1969.

Any thoughts on what the zipper could mean?

Also, has anyone been able to scan the key code?

Unless you like watching animated snakes stuff their pieholes with various foodstuffs to the tune of "Happy Birthday," it is utterly and completely not worth the effort.

The QR results are below. So maybe the zipper means some binary type operation (its either zipped closed or open?). The weird part is the partial key QR code is a different size than the larger one. What did you figure out with the key code Molnar?

You see what you want to see. In contrast, I see what's really there.

TheYellowWatchdog, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Engineer, if you haven't figured out my hint yet, try looking closely at the lower left finder pattern of the key qrcode.

I did get your hint, but didn't look carefully enough. That's fun. Got it to work with enough effort, and now your first comment makes sense. Thanks Molnar!

Re: the zipper pic- I wonder if the image file could hold a .zip file somehow that needs to be extracted. It is a large .png file. Changing the extension is not sufficient. Not sure how to manipulate a binary file like that. I'm sure nothing yielded will be of real use except to learn more about the type of puzzles to expect.

Also, if you edit with a text file, there is a comment. Could be a ternary type code perhaps?
