I think Steve might be dead on.....I could see some "final clue" from ATT linking over to Alchemist Dar-it would make sense. I could be totally wrong. There are so many left overs from ATT it seems, and it would be great if they add up to something.

On a side note, Steve--I think your site is GREAT. I linked to it from the ATT site a few weeks ago so everyone would know it was out there-hope you don't mind. I really don't spend much time over on the ATT site anymore, I find that if I'm going to be online and wanting a Treasure's Trove fix, I'm on this site...and I keep checking your site out too. Just wanted to give you kudos.

the gold amulets? where did u see that?

the butterfly was an amulet -

lets stop ourselves from runnin in circles and just wait it out...

if you are gonna solve clue 3 - think basic...think simple...take a day off- then go and look at it with a fresh look....

You know what... this was heavily pointed out earlier and was thought to be pretty huge... and was never pointed out as a misprint...
"Then in through the window and up into the branches, flew a firefly and a beetle, carrying a caterpillar, a bee carrying a snail, followed by a dragonfly with a spider on her back *edited out by MS* and flinally a grasshopper riding on a glittering humming bird" ok the butterfly is missing from this and the ladybug was there, and didnt MS just say the second beetle wasn't supposed to be there, not that butterfly should? if not sorry... and this is at the end? then can we infer the first layer has 12 initially and the second has 11? and that is whats up with 12 and 11 being together in TWELEVE???? i havent thought in quite a while, but that has my mind thinking... any thoughts?

I don't know, but the order of the flying jewels listed on p. 98 is written in almost in exact reverse from the flying jewels listed on p. 34. (I wonder if they were supposed to be listed in exact reverse, but due to a proofreading error they weren't?) And the illustration of the flying jewels on p. 34 is the same one at the end on p. 103--just a mirror immage, reversed. I wondered the first time I saw this book in June if these repetetitions hint to a second part of the game, and 12 more jewels/amulets.

an additional tweleve jewels seems quite far fetched. the whole point to the original tweleve is they were crystalized and turned to jewels in the story; the mates were not. rusful is the only other character in the book who was turned to anything else. unfortunately, rusful did not become a jewel.

as for the clue being in reference to Dar. it does state on the official website that the new clue is for A Treasure's Trove. it shall be interesting.

I agree with Doc that there's more to this. There's just too much that hasn't been tied to a solve. Like, what about all those dragons?

I'm also strongly thinking toward the original tokens being the amulets and perhaps the person who can give a complete solve for the entire book will win the full set of tokens. I know that was a disappointing issue with Masquerade -- the person who found the rabbit had only solved part of the puzzle and the two who had worked out all the clues were a few days behind the actual finder.

And don't forget, a red herring would be a total solve. Additional decorations on the pages to complicate the search are not red herrings. Some people just want it to be too easy.

Did anyone ever figure out why there are two chapters with the same name?

I strongly believe there is another layer. What it holds is anyones guess at this point. MS's Web-site does state this will be a a clue for 'A Treasures Trove'. With so many un-used clues in the pictures and text it is very hard for me to believe there isn't something more.
