Default called Simon & Schuster for clarification

Hey all, I just wanted to let you know that I just got off the phone with Simon & Schuster to see if they had any idea what was going on. They had not heard of anything. I figured that since we've gotten no response from anyone, I'd try them. The customer service rep. took down my information about the official website being down and that we were all just curious if the hunt for the treasure was still on, etc. She asked for my email. She was aware of the situation between their company and MS, but said she would get as many details for the clue hunters as possible. Her next move was to contact the editor and try to get information from the editor and go from there. I don't know if this will resolve anything, but I hope it will. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Snowqueen,

I doubt if S&S will have any information for you. They really did not have anything to do with the hunt.

I hear a lot of people saying that the website is "down". It is not just down, the web address has been sold. The Bankruptcy Trustee's job is to sell off all of ATT's assets for cash and that is what he is doing.

Right now the Bankruptcy is in a holding pattern, while the Trustee decides whether or not he is going to sue for the rings, solution, etc., which MS claims belong to him, as an individual. The Trustee has, at least, until next July to file this type of lawsuit. An attorney for the Trustee has been appointed to specifically look into all of MS's business affairs to see if there is enough legal evidence to sue. This whole thing takes a long time. Complicated bankruptcies can take years to settle, especially when millions of dollars of debt are involved.

MS is just waiting to see what happens.
