    Default Lonesome

Sorry I thought it was sad that pg 18 had zero post, so i thought i would give my 2 cents. From what i am seeing, i think these random trees located throughout the book might help locate the token once you have its general location. Any thoughts?
I can see three corners from this corner, two's a perfect number but one, well........

funny, I always thought those were mustaches
Over 1,000 miles travelled in search of 1 token.

Tokens found: zero. (no, I don't expect I'll have to edit this)

    Currently working on: Firefly, beetle.

They probably are just mustaches, but they appear "moon like" to me.

Default Holes and potrusions in/on trees

I'm going to go out on a "limb" here. I'm certainly not trying to be weird or anything, and those with knowledge of symbolism will understand that. Has anyone thought about the knotholes in the trees relating in any way to femaleness? The trees also have many protruding parts which would be directly analogous to maleness. Also the pentagram has symbolic ties to feminity. I only mention this because some believe that the universe and all in it can only be harmonious when male and female balance each other out. We are reminded to take care of the earth, and they don't call it "Mother Nature" for no reason. Yorah is also a motherly character. Rusful, leader of the evil darklings, is a male. This is not to disparage males. Remember that Zac and Pook are heroes of the story. The fight is between good and evil; and both sides have male and female ties.

Perhaps someone with a deeper understanding of symbolism with think this is pertinent, and perhaps not. It is just an observation I am putting out there because I haven't seen it mentioned so far in my research of all the posts. Comments, thoughts welcome.......

I understand that you're not trying to add anything "naughty" to the discussion, and I hope others keep the discussion "above" that plane.

While I understand the symbolism you mean (I had a college course on hidden literary meaning YEARS ago...), *in my opinion* Mr. Stadther might hesitate to add such attributes to a children's book.

And again *in my opinion*, this type of symbolism probably wouldn't help in the hunt.

It's just a part of the age-old good/bad struggle in life, imitated in art & literature.
