It looks like "NARY" to me, not "MARY". At least that gets us out of the CEMETERY!

If it is NARY then the N is italic, why?

    More likely MARY!

An Even Code with One Peice Nary, Will Spell out the Sanctuary. Within the Text you have the key. For the one that is missing you did not see.

This is my first post, so bear with me. I hope I'm not repeating anything...

"An even code with one piece nary..."

I'm not so sure this phrase is even as complex as an anagram. MS keeps hinting that some of the clues are very obvious, practically staring us right in the face. My thoughts on "An even code with on(e) piece nary:"

"An even code" (even as in 2, 4, 6, 8 or bi, quad, sex, oc) "with on(e) piece nary" (nary as in "nary"). Put the two pieces together, and you have "binary." The unclear "e" in the word "one" validates this line of thinking, as a binary code is an "on/off" code.

At this point, I do believe (as do many others I've noticed by visiting bulletin boards like this one) that a major key in this riddle involves a binary code.

I think Doc is on the right track with his way of thinking (I love reading his posts), but I'm not so sure about the population of the grid with letters rather than numbers, although the binary code could come into use later.

    Just my two-cents' worth...in my never-to-be-humble opinion.
