    Default Fortnight

No matter how much I look at this book, I keep coming back to the word FORTNIGHT. Not a word used over here in the US. For those who don't know it is an English word for 14 days. Unless it is an anagram. Seems like I try and make anagrams out of anything these days. Amazing what you can actually see once you start looking. If nothing else, I certainly see the world differently these days.

I too have been meaning to look up this word.. I was not sure how long a Fortnight was... That being said, this means that Rusful was giving Zac 2 weeks time to rescue Ana... Was that because Zac had to wait for the full moon to find the glowing gems? Do we have any other words that can be substituted for Full Moon?... Maybe the Moon like is reffering to a full moon.. Just a thought... Calgon take me away... Denise

Two weeks seems like an awfuly long time. when after he had the dream he found them before noon the next day.

There has got to be some meaning in these times.

    Default fortnight

Maybe the fortnight's reference to 14 would be telling us there is a special clue within Chapter 14.

Whatever the reason for the 14, is reconfirmed by the word "stone" right underneath it. "Stone" is a unit of weight in Great Britain equaling 14 pounds.

    on Page 82:
"... shook out a handful of the dark dust and scattered it at the base of the willow tree. "Within a fortnight that tree that holds you will turn to stone. And so, my dear, will you." 82 ..."

Default Fort night, and Helen (Keller)

Any one have any views on this...I have always thought Helen was a reference to Helen Keller.....
