    Default Dark spots

Are definitely the constellation ORION... he is missing a star from his "belt" however, but all others, including his bow, are in the right places.

Do the dark spots on all the pages of the BOS correspond to real constellations?

Yes... I can't find the thread where we were talking about this (it may be on the official Dar boards) but the dark spots do form a constellation on every page they appear.

These are the constellations people have named on the Dar sight:

    Page 1 Puppis, 3 Hercules, 6 Phoenix, 7 Ursa Major, 8 Ara, 9 Aquila, 10 Leo, 11 Hydrus, 12 Orion, 13 Libra.

Like the missing star in Orion's belt, not all of these seem to be perfect representations of the constellations.

Now, what to do with them? They may be keywords to a vigenere cipher or something similar; they could give a clue as to how to rotate a cipher disk.....
