Default WITHIN THE TEXT YOU HAVE THE KEY

WITHIN THE TEXT YOU HAVE THE KEY
FOR THE ONE THAT IS MISSING YOU DID NOT SEE

I am theorizing this is the clue to reveal the 13th treasure, pook.

Could just as easily refer to Q being absent from the book.

    Default second ant missing too?

i've read opinions that the 2nd ant is on the bottom of page 77 in the squiggly lines. Seems like a stretch to me. Is the 2nd ant officially found or missing? If missing, then it takes its place along with Q.

It could be the letter Q, but I don't think that makes as much sense if you look at the phrase as a whole (other than just the fact that the Q is missing). It says that within the text you'll find the key to the one that is missing. If the answer was the letter Q, then there really isn't a key, per se. You're just making the observation that it's not there.

It's seems more likely that he saying that the key to finding pook ("the one that is missing, you did not see") will be in the text, not in the illustrations.

i guess it all depends how you read the poem. if you see it as

WITHIN THE TEXT YOU HAVE THE KEY: FOR THE ONE THAT IS MISSING YOU DID NOT SEE

with my addition of the : he is essentially making a proposition followed by the solution. The 'key' is the one (letter) you did not see in the text, the one that was missing (Q).

and if these lines dont refer to the missing Q, what is the significance of the missing Q? The companion book has a nearly identical 'puzzle' (the famous paragraph with no letter E).

I just wonder how Q is the key, ciphers usually have key words rather than just a single letter. Yet 'key' should refer to a cipher. If it means the whole alphabet minus Q in some sort of 5x5, that might be more plausible. I did come across a well-known cipher that uses a single letter as a key, so who knows.

I always thought that the 'one that is missing' is the part of the poem that rhymes with "There are thirteen." It's the only part of our original poem not in a couplet. It begs us to look further. I've been trying to anagram the dream "moon like, etc" to rhyme with thirteen.

Personally, I think it reads "Within the text you have the keys"
because if one is missing (q) then you have 25 left, so I'm guessing that the 25 letters are the keys that go into this grid somehow.
It looks like a backwards "S" on the bottom
