    Default The solution to Pook!

I have been to hole ten (to Helen - anagram) and on hole ten I found Yorah. In her trunk were carved the letters "I heart A.S." It looked like it was carved by a blunt chisel. Although Pook was not there, I still believe Pook is on this golf course. In the dream the trees sing "Moon like, moon like. Dreamer one on ending, I cause your puzzling." I figured out the “moon like, moon like” thing and possibly the statement “one on ending” means the eighth or seventeenth hole. I was looking for a hole with a dogleg since Pook never has four legs until the end of the book.

I am sure of the golf course that I have found and I am sure that it is a golf course we are looking for. It is obvious once you see all of the clues we have found including the ones on page 55.

    1. Slice - Hook
    2. 9 irons 4 woods

There are many more clues that point to this golf course and I would be willing to share this information with the right person.

I have been to this course twice and have spent hundreds of dollars traveling. I do not plan on making a third trip. I am not looking to recover the money that I spent on my trips. The adventures were well worth it. I will also say that I took my two oldest sons with me and they will never forget the joy of these adventures either.

What I am looking for before I reveal the course or any more information is a partner that is willing to take a long trip alone or with someone other then myself, and would still be willing to include my two sons and myself in the credit of this find. My 12 year old son found many of these clues and my 10 year old son found several too. To have their names mentioned in the Answer to A Treasure's Trove book would be the most awesome thing ever. I realize that whoever takes this challenge will not be able to promise our names actually make it in the book, but if you claim the prize with us as a group we would all get some mention. Again, I am not looking to recover any money or the Pook crystal. It would go to you. If you choose to take the money, I would like to have a chance to purchase the crystal before you make any final decision.

Please give me some information about yourself if you are interested in joining up with me and my children on this great adventure.

P.S. "I have a plan," Yorah said. "But it must be carried out tonight. I am giving you a very important task. Not a difficult one, but I must tell you that it might be dangerous."

There do seem to be several hints towards Pook being on a golf course. But aren't all golf courses private property? Yorah "in person" must have been beautiful - even if she's just an imposter.

Not all golf courses are on private property. In my hometown, there's a golf course in Duncan Park, which is one of our city parks. The golf course is public property... coincidentally, there was a GORGEOUS old oak tree in Duncan Park last time I was there. I haven't been in over a decade, though, so I'm not sure if the tree is still there or not.

    Default Bethpage State Golf Course

I don't believe any of these clues lead to a golf course....
but Bethpage State Golf couse, where the 2002 US Open was held is a Public State Park.

For those of you that do not believe that it is a golf course I wish you well in your hunt.

However for the rest of you that believe that it could be true I just wanted to let you know that the public course that I have visited twice now in just under two weeks has allowed me on the course for free. They not only let me on the course they were willing to help in any way possible. One gentlemen let me have the keys to a golf cart and proceeded to tell me where all of the old oak trees were. I was also given a ladder to look in a large oak tree when I was lifting my son over my head to reach in a knothole. I will say that the generosity of these people was outstanding. It was as if they knew that I was supposed to be there and they were not aloud to tell me anything only to help in any way possible.

I have not developed my film from the trip yet, but I will post all images as soon as I have my film back form the developer.

My sons want to pass the information of our hunt onto someone else, mostly just to see if we were in the right location. I told them we could review all of the private messages that come in and pass it along to whichever person they wanted to.

Thanks to the people that have already sent a PM I will be sure to let my sons see all of them before we make any final decisions.

In defense of the golf course theory it would also fit MS's statement "One token is within 10 feet of where thousands of people pass every day." And many golf courses are not private but in public parks. I know of several in NC... and unless you actually want to play golf, there is no fee involved.

There are 6 (six!) state parks in Ohio that have golf courses...
I am "dragging" the spouse and kids to one of them next week for "family vacation". They would all be much more forgiving if we don't come home empty handed. Any and all helpful hints and clues are welcome!

    Tman,

I was at a book signing in Columbus, GA, and MS made the statement then about one token being within 50 feet of where thousands of people pass a day.
