Default Anybody still interested in Pook??

I thought I would start a thread to get some new ideas going about how to solve (and find) the puzzle for Pook.

I always thought the answer would be from left over letters from other puzzles...like the MOS left from the dragonfly solve...then you might take these letters and anagram them...however I haven't found anymore leftover letters, except perhaps the unused dandelions from the ant puzzle.

Some have mentioned the mushrooms at the end of the book...the dots seem to spell out OVERLAPPAGESNOW, using a little bit of anagramming.

The vine wraps on 69 spell out PACK GAP E, with no anagramming...only using the outside set of vines (not the extreme outside vines....these have a set of 6 in them anyway). Start with the vine with the loop on the right hand side....everytime a vine crosses the border, you count it. going counter-clockwise you get 5,1 1,4 1,1 2,2 1,3 3,1 1,1 1,4... EPAGKCAP (its backwords)

Let me know if you have any thoughts.

I'm interested. =) I'm catching up on the pook forum topics at the moment. I have a couple of observations but am checking to see if they've been exhausted by someone else (in an effort to avoid duplicating work). I'm just lazy like that. LOL I'm inclined to think pook has a good chance of being in DC... but I don't want to go in believing that because we all know how we fit things we to produce the outcome we want. As someone mentioned before, the "DC" on page 19 seems concrete enough to keep that in mind while making sense of the other 'stuff'.

I have noticed several similarities in the pook pages. Zac's shirt looks like the vines on the fairies pages, the wings on pook, page 101 look like morse code..... could be nothing, still looking. All solves run together for his solve.
I may not always be right, but I am never wrong....

There are so many threads in Pook, it wouldn't be a bad idea to consolidate to save trying to plow through all of them. Good thought!

Chiming in to say I got Pack Gap too -- let's just say I spent quite a bit of time googling that one At the time I thought it was for the Beetle but couldn't come up with anything definitive.

One other thought -- it's been a while since I worked on the vines, but at some point I also thought maybe slightly different coding would make it "Park Gate" ?

    Yes, desharpe
I am now going to focus on Pook after spending thousands of hours on the beetle and missing it by a few days........whats a few more hours.
First off I haven't been keeping up with the pook threads. So do you think it is safe to assume that the map page for him is page 78?
What about the 'tools' page as being the puzzle page?

I am going to start 'fresh' I threw out 2 garbage bags of beetle notes last night so, I have plenty of room now to amass some more notes on this puzzle..LOL!

Also, I was thinking if we use a 0-9 numbering system for this puzzle. We will never use the '0' rows. Is this a good idea? I don't know........

    Default I agree

ACEGAP....And I posted this earlier. First thought Ace Gap near the Smoky Mountians (it is), but now i believe in another site. I believe I know where it is but can't visit the place for two weeks, I'm in Minnesota.

Will Pook still be there in two weeks? What I don't have is a drop cap like the others so I would have to search the whole area . Anyone know where the dropcap for Pook is?
The place I have matches the description too. Anyone want to partner?
    Part is better than none.

Pg 78 is most likely the map, if there is one.... I did have a thought about a map being pg 93, where pook is crystalized... Maybe once we find the name of the park there will be a spot there that looks just like the scene in the backgound of this picture and that light shining down on the long branch is the spot we find the token...that light has got to mean something....since this page has a crystal pook on it, I have to believe it is used somehow.
