    Anyone making any headway here?

If it is only for reference... at one time there were going to be other sites.

And the same people have a great site on Great Medieval Castles... Lots of good background including some of the same ones we are staring at blankly....

Hope somebody comes up with something...

I figured out the solution to the sword in the manuscript/tapestry. The clues to the solution are literally right there, staring you in the face.

I'm still not altogether sure of the date; I still have to research which individual the solve refers to.

I've been thinking about the latest blog entry again. The oddly worded line is Rachel saying her friend is making Headway.. .which made me think that the clue to how to solve that aspect of the puzzle is in the manuscript in a section regarding someone's head.

Now that we've seen kind of how to solve that date thing... how do we apply those same principles to the manuscript with the location and object? I'm guessing that all the pieces are there.

So when I think of the Head line... I see that little Benedictus dude behind the head in the quadrant section... which reminds me of the effigy at worcester.

Very weird... So where do we go from here?

Hmm, I don't know. I guess that the word headway didn't seem odd to me; but that doesn't mean it isn't a clue.

On another note, I figured out the place described on page 146 & 148 of the journal. To date, it's the best option I have for the location as it is above 53 deg N. I also think that it may be the church drawn in the upper right hand figure on page 4 of the manuscript, and if so, would know the path and the two cities. The only negatives are that one has to drop the v bar in the distance (frankly, 5150 miles didn't make much sense anyway) and I still don't know what the letters around the circular city mean.
