    Default Ch. 8, Q. 3

I don't see any posts re: this question so feel like I am missing something easy. Any hints to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Yes, you have done this cipher many times over. And this will be "your day!" to solve this cipher. Best clue I can think of to give.

turning back to this question and still having an issue. appears relatively simple and the parentical seems to indicate a question about the da vinci code . . . problem is using that as the basis is not making sense to the text of the question. any other hints appreciated.

    Default Q.8

The "banking shot" is slowly driving me crazy. I have solved the seduko and have tried many seemingly logical combinations looking from both a pool or basketball angle . . . any hints would be appreciated.

To be clear, it would help if you would specify which question you are referring to. After 3 quoted responses, it isn't clear anymore...

I will assume you are asking about C8Q3.

You are correct about the "parentical". So what path does that lead you down....
    - the letter count for one word in that section seems to be off. What could that mean?
    - the double "b" is another good clue on what Cipher it IS NOT
    - What options does that leave you with? Try one - does it make sense?

Basically through process of elimination you can determine what the Cipher is. From there you need to break it. From past chapters you can determine where the *keywords* for such Ciphers come from

On the bank shot, agree with you now . . . my problem is that there are at least two way to solve this seduko. My original solve did not have the "bank". Good puzzle if you have the right solve.

on Q. 3, I am having issues based on my inexperience with these type of ciphers especially the comment: "the letter count for one word in that section seems to be off. What could that mean?" Any suggestions of internet searches to clear up this nudge? Definitely interesting in learning the nuances of this cipher.

If you were to guess at what was written in the brackets, what would you come up with?

DVC appears to be the answer but a pure substitution doesn't make sense in the Q and using Vig isn't making sense either. Feel free to PM me.
