Default Help with 9-1... Please !!!

    Hello everyone.

I already spent dayS and nightS on that question so, I am sending an S.O.S.

    S P O I L E R !
If you don't want to learn more about the 9-1, stop reading now !
I'll give below some results that could 'spoil' your pleasure.

    STOP READING IF...

    READERS YE BE WARNED...

OK. If you're still reading this, let's go for it...

The first 3/4 of that question were very easy to solve.
The first part of the password is obvious (except for a 3 letters word unused in it but that could be an indication to find the poem where it comes from.)

Now (), for the 'numbers' part...
With the clues I found in this forum, I know I have to translate the numbers in letters.
That translation will 'continue' the initial story and will begin with "Now."

Knowing that, I tried two 'solutions':
    - I numbered the letters in the story like this: N=1, o=2, w=3,...
    - I numbered the words in the story like this: Now=1, in=2, English=3,...
I built a table with the letters as is for the first 'solution' and another one with the initial letters of the words for the second 'solution'.
Results: two texts of 238 characters.
I tried, for each one: Ceasar, Vigenère, Rotate and even Playfair.
As keywords, I used: the first part of the password, the poem author name, the story title, the story author name, the name of the poem "star", Captain Kidd, ...

    NOTHING! NADA! RIEN! ZERO! ZILCH!

    I am stuck

    So, please, PM me!
But I don't want the answer for the second part of the password.
Instead, I would like a push in the right direction.
This question is my last one before the 240's club...

    Thank you for your help.

    Jamyphx.

    Default Chapter 9, Q1 update.

    OOOOOPS!

Two days after posting the mail above, I was able to solve that last question thanks to the clues I found here and there in this forum AND thanks to some very nice people.
I would like to thanks especially -in alphabetical order-:
    Ednel, Prudence and Rhoops.
They provided the pushes I needed to access the 240's club.
Thanks guys and good luck in your quest.

Now, for people who are still stuck on that same question, it's my turn to help you.
I created an Excel spreadsheet (Office 2000) to "solve" the fourth part of the question.
(If you still don't know what are the three first ones, I can't nothing for you.)
But, for the last part, if you want that spreadsheet, just PM me and I'll send it to you...with just a little bit of explanations: You'll do the real job ;>)))

    Good luck all!

    Jamyphx.

Help!!! I've finally figured out the decoding of the numbers, but now I have a repeating phrase and a different 20 letter phrase that I assume is the hint or the clue for the missing 20 letters for the last 3 words needed for the password.

Any hint for what I need to do with the 20 letter phrase?

    Thank you

    Papapaul,

I think you didn't read the "read me first" file I sent you...
Read it or read it again and again. Especially the last sentence about my final clue!
    Good luck.

    Jamyphx,

Thank you for all of your help. I have read the "read me first" file over 20 times. I have read the final clue part over and over, way more than 20 times. I just keep reading it out loud and nothing is clicking in my mind yet. Maybe I just need to go to bed and get some sleep and look at it tomorrow with fresh eyes!

Thank you again for all of your help!!!

    Default Still stuck

I had a good sleep. Still trying to figure out how to unscramble the 20 letters for the last 3 words of the password.

I just re-read all of the 10 pages of hints on this board for Chapter 9. I also have re-read Jamyphx's hints from his "read this first" document and I am still stumped. I am probably just looking at it the wrong way and now I am stuck there and can't see any other way to do it.

    Hello every body.
I'm a new user and like a lot of people, I'm locked by the C9Q1 part4.
    I became bald by it.
I tried the part 4 like the C12Q10 for corresponding number and letter but without result.
I hope a push for going in the right direction, please.
