I just started the hunt in January 2012. Is anybody able to e-mail me a clue to chapter 12, question 20? E-mail selfserve30@aol.com. Thanks!

2. So after having finally cracking the password for this chapter, I am feeling more and more that the only way you could ever crack these using the direct method would be to have esp. When this hunt is over I seriously hope Ron will let us all in on the logic behind his choices, because as far as I can tell I see NO clues in this chapter pointing us in the direction we needed to go to find this key. LOL! I'm glad this one is done....now only 3 more of my 240 remain.

Ohhh St. Andrews Cross sudoku you are hopefully going down today!

3. go from the first number to the second number and keep to the path.

4. Thanks for the clue BookWorm, already solved it last night though....finally! But hopefully it will help others that still have that one left over!

Good evening to all. I am not sure what is stressing me the most. Tax season (I am an accountant) or the password on Chapter 12. It appears that many on here got a start a year or two ahead of me.......but I am enjoying the challenge. Does anyone want to give me a gentle nudge? You can email me at selfserve30@aol.com.

6. Look further back in this thread. You will find that most people guessed the poem first, then backed into the password.

7. 239 questions down, only the dreaded Ch12 Q20 'Sudoku' question to go. Took the book to bed with me last night and just stared at the puzzle. The Saltire was highlighted in yellow, all the 4s and 5s were highlighted in blue. Then it suddenly came to me. The solution... at last. I raced to my computer to enter the 7-digit sequence and

Oops! You have reached your limit of tries (25) for today.

Arrrrrggh! This is so frustrating!

8. Still stuck on that Ch12Q20 Sudoku. Feel free to give a hint or pm me. "Go from the first number to the second number and keep to the path" is probably excellent advice, but I don't see how it is any different than how it is worded in the book. Would really like to have this one behind me this weekend!

9. No luck yet with Ch12Q20. Solved the sudoku quickly enough, and have tried literally hundreds of possiblilities without success. I know from previous comments which is the probable starting 4, but don't know what else to try. This is the only question keeping me out of the 240 club (I have even "solved" the 3D sudoku - although what I do with it is anyone's guess). Any hints/nudges on Q20 can be Personal Messaged to me, and would be greatly appreciated. I don't know what else to try.

Well, thanks to Jean-Marie, I was finally able to back into Ch9 Q1 (though I believe now I see how it "could" be done forwards, yikes). After that, the remaining ciphers in Ch10, Ch11, and Ch12 fell relatively easily (though I think I got VERY lucky that I recognized a certain poem). So (drumroll, and an angel chorus resounding with a heavenly "Ahhhhhh") I am now joining the ranks of the 240 Club (252 with Cryptex). On to those numbers for me, I guess. Thanks to all on this forum for your help and guidance. What a great community. Though I lurked for awhile, I'm convinced and I'm here now.
