Hello Phil, Doc, Lobster and all,

It was amazing what Doc has stumbled on. I am going to continue his logic tonite and see if I can find something that would help Doc continue on his quest for the correct order of keys. It does merrit further investigation.

What concern I have is "why is my book different than yours?" - Specifically Chapter 2 And now I am wondering what else might be different throughout the book. Again, I am just going by what others have told me what is in there copy, since they were referring to something that obviously was not in my book. Tonight I will be purchasing another book to find the differences. Maybe this is what Ron wanted - everyone having to purchase another book to complete the quest. Any way, it warrants another purchase so that I have the advantage of the clues you have.

Keep up the good work Doc and just keep your mind open to other possibilites just in case. I thought I was onto something only to be corrected and having to start all over again.

PS: Creator is the alpha to my omega! hehe

Glad to help & sorry about leaving without notice yesterday.

The book differences is indeed interesting. I haven't any clue why this should matter, and so, I haven't a clue why they'd different in the first place. For reference, and with a larger sample (the forum), here are the chapters. If your book differs from my list, please add you book info.

    CH1 - At ten o'clock ... Cooper after all
CH2 - The bird had ... good dreams tonight!"
    CH3 - "Charlie!" ... at the sea.
CH4 - My father was ... curses are real. [list]
CH5 - "Yo ho, yo ... me that song?"
    CH6 - Sometimes there occurs ... is, there's more.
CH7 - Emily and Sam ... never say die!
    CH8 - 1780 / "What can ... they had lost.
CH9 - Many secrets are ... in my ears.
CH10 - Jedediah Mastius pulled ... of Captain Kidd.
CH11 - "Lay him across ... Sir Henry Morgan.
CH12 - The leader of ... the abbot's return. [list]

Hi! Lobster's wife here... My first time posting. Hi to all!

OK - this is completely bizarre...

Our book's Ch2 is: We went to ... get it first. The rest of our chapters appear to be the same as yours.

    lol, we have different books?

Another difference is that "American River" is underlined in our version, but you were saying it's not in yours.

Phil_The_Rodent, when did you purchase your book? I got mine around the end of this past December.

    Hello all,
I also have this Chapter 2(We went to ... get it first.). I also have quotation marks at the end of Chapter 6(Sometimes there occurs ... is, there's more.")
That leads to a more important question, are the clues in all the books the same? You could get to the same answer, but with different clues. Also, possibly some Joy messages are in some books but not in others. Send me a PM if you want me to check.
I have a very early edition paperback, copyright 2009.

That would be a transcription error on my part, dawnplayer8. I also have the " at the end of chapter 6. Also, welcome LadyLobster!

It appears as if our forum is being overrun with Crustaceans of the genus Homarus. It's unclear at this point if these are Homarus americanus or Homarus gammarus. My Chapter 2 text seems to be the same as that of the female of the species.

My chapter 2 is different than Dawnplayer8 and also there were things that are not in my book that are in others. Like the underlined phrase.
Now that someone has mentioned Chapter 6 .... I think this is an obvious clue .... there is more!!!
Maybe means you need another book! Clever!
