I haven't started work on those numbers, but I strongly suspect it's tied into the Declaration of Independence.

I have heard that a lot and I'm curious as to why everyone thinks the source document is the Declaration of Independence because as far as I have been able to tell it is not.

Research the Beale cipher, esmith, as a start.

    Hello.

I would have a look, not at the Declaration of Independence, but rather at the Silence Dogood letters (since we have Benjamin Franklin picture in this chapter...)
But it just my humble opinion!

    Good luck everyone.

I am familiar with the Beale cipher. I am just wondering what leads people to think of that cipher for this hunt. The connection isn't straight forward to me, esp. since we have used book ciphers for the 240 questions and the source texts were more obviously related to this hunt.

Well, clearly we have become well acquainted with Ron's favorite movies. And in these movies the Declaration of Independence features pretty prominently. So I'd say it's a fair assumption that an honest attempt to match it up with the numbers from Chapter 13 1/2 is a well laid theory, even if it doesn't end up being the ultimate solution.

What do you all make of the line break 2/3 of the way through the number list?

Even assuming you work out what the text is, why is that there? What does it represent?

    Are there missing numbers?

It prob just a new paragraph. Nothing to worry about at the moment, at least for me.
