1. ## 3rd key released

Good morning all of you eager questers! Here you go:

So, are any of you on the right track? Had you worked the 3rd key out? Does this clue validate or mess up your solution? For us, this certainly messes up all of our recent attempts, and casts doubts on the meaning of pretty much every major clue.

Back to the drawing board!

2. Doc and I are right on track.

3. Since I really dont have a clue as to how 1, and 20 were derived, the next one may just help to see a correlation happening.

4. If I hadn't lost "X" so many times, I would have never found the directions to the placement of the keys.

5. that sounds just as vague as an official hunt clue ! lol

Sweet, my 4 submissions from last week (that I'm still waiting to hear about) all had the correct 3rd key

Rx Jeff!

Curiouser and curiouser. Who ARE you?

Guys, boatdaddy may be closer to the mark than he realizes. Methinks Jeff is very, very closely related to JOY.

WE are right on track, eh? Well, yes, they are most definitely 'right', in more ways than one.

And, 'are right' on track? R R on track? Sounds like a 'chew-chew' to me.

I have the first X as 1 - 10, then reversed the second X as 10 - 1, since east = west.

Finally, I placed the two sequences into the map as 01 10.

This I have submitted, and I anxiously await word.

Lobster, since I have been claiming that the first three keys are ATE, I'm pretty stoked.

All aboard the doc train!

I have not bought this book, knowing it would be maddeningly difficult to solve. I can't really follow along with anything people discuss about the clues or keys. But I do like to watch how these things progress, having seen many hunts over the years, some successful and others not so much. I know Doc from way back (when he had more hair), and I want very much for him to win something for all the effort he puts into these things. It's rather curious that RxJeff is a pharmacist -- is there something about the medical professions which produce logical puzzlers?

Doc, What do you mean by these "X's"? How are they created?
