Hi Vincent. Here are some specifics why it's a good idea to support Doc in particular, and twelevers in general.

Doc was one of the very first people to correctly determine the basic methods of A Treasure's Trove, the contest which lead to the creation of this website. He also proposed many fantastic (and incorrect) theories in that contest too, but the ones that hit are a big reason that we were collectively able to find all the tokens.

Then, during the Secrets of the Alchemist Dar / Amazon pre-release contest, Doc proposed a number of theories for the final puzzle. Some of his ideas were right, only the final step was incorrect. I was able to build on his ideas and win a fancy-schmancy $10,000 ring.

If I categorically accepted all his theories I would not have won. But I can honestly say that if I categorically rejected all his theories I also would not have won. The great thing about visiting a website like this is that you can choose to use an open mind, thoughtful discretion, and your own sense of judgment regarding the information you read.

I happen to agree with you that Doc's recent theories seem off-the-mark. It doesn't matter. His creativity and willingness to share is legendary here, and his posts are appreciated.

Keep the ideas flowing, everyone. (You too, Vincent!)

Agree with what was said above. While I don't agree with any of Doc's current theory, I do appreciate and enjoy reading his posts.

I think that's why I have encouraged him to consider other possibilities here in the past -- because I'd love to hear his thoughts in OTHER directions that might help us all along!

    Hey guys ...

I didn't say anything like against the guy i just talked about the fact that right now he is wrong.
I feel that should really help him to accept to let it go ... and start over, potentially with the good one !

    Vincent,

No worries! I'm not very......inhibited when it comes to sharing ideas. Some folks are patient, some folks aren't. It goes with the territory.

I haven't seen anything yet to dissuade me this is the wrong way to do it, and I have no problems changing horses when I think I'm wrong.

I'm pretty excited since yesterday morning when I first saw this is a metapuzzle forming up. When you solve the directions for 'I LOST X', the puzzle gives it back verbatim as J N S R I O. I realized that as being three X's--J, IO, and NSR--and I spotted the 1-2-3 quality to it, but I honestly didn't 'know' how to place it into the map until the author released the clue that '14' is the fourth key.

It goes into the map as 3-2-1, but WHY?

I don't mind telling you the 11, 12, 13 spots on the map are MLK (as in Martin Luther King) and they're 13-12-11, but again, WHAT is really going on with all this?

It's the metapuzzle taking effect. The third key 'is equal to the last'. The last key is the EQUALS key. 'The solution is divided into equal parts' is an understatement.

While I have not been at this hunt as long as many here on this forum, I have been able to clearly follow Doc's sequence and I do believe he is right on track in his logic. I believe this is a layered puzzle and will incorporate many of his ideas as well as purely literal solutions. Going through and finding all sorts of morse code words, ABC...123 and incorporation of numbers have so far led me right to the exact sequences laid before us by doc. when you see that the next set of clues derives the next number in the sequence as "S", I believe Doc's bandwagon will begin to fill. Again, just my opinion. I do love the sharing and nudging that goes on in this forum and behoove others to continue being open about their ideas.

I agree, and love the ideas so far from the above people mentioned. I don't agree yet with all the theories, but i appreciate the insights which have led me to other ideas on occasion. I'm curious what you guys do for a living though? I'm an electrical engineer, specializing in low power design and reverse engineering. We joke that people always want products with infinite features, consume no power, cost nothing, and be practically invisible (small).. Curious what other people do..

At the end of the day...here's my new ideas....
This chapter one puzzle isn't meant to read the answers to the keys in sequence. The beginning and end isn't a hard beginning or end...its a moving sequence. Some more new thoughts...
Ok... Here is another clue about the Treasure Map for you questers....! At least 20 people have the first half correct
AT... (hey this is a good start..keys)
    least
    L EATS
    S LATE
    LATE S
    SALE T
    TALE S

too many options...so you need more instructions. All of the words in the clues mean something. Have = half if you speak like a pirate. Just say "have" to yourself outloud and see what you get

    Stvwz,

I didn't see the 8-10 thing going on. Thanks for pointing that out.
