Doc, what makes you 100% sure that the Xs are part of the clue? Couldn't they just be rotate cipher padding?

    Lobster,

I don't think they're necessarily padding, but that's the question I was asking.

Do you think the X's are significant or just fluff?

Either way, how do you reconcile the clue to what we already know?

The fact the author has published the first four numbers of the sequence makes this particular clue not as open-ended as the others. What's the purpose of the clue since he's already stated in a simple, straightforward manner the first four numbers of the map?

Yes, the site is within 250 miles of Seattle. Probably Ron's aunt's house with the certificate for the silver eagle hidden under the mattress in the guest bedroom once slept on by DB Cooper.

I'm not sure if the author comes to tweleve and reads our musings, but if he does happen across this, PLEASE consider speeding up the turnaround time on submissions--I think it might help sustain some excitement knowing that feedback is occurring more often.

That being said, according to my three keys stuff, the first ten letters are A T E N S R I O J G. If any of these are incorrect, the theory falls apart. It's been the second set of ten that's making me pull my hair out. In other words, if any more numbers show up at the golden eagle eye, it will definitively confirm or deny conclusions I've drawn from the three keys.

I'd be perfectly happy if it gets borked because that would cause me to start digging into some thing different. At the same time, if it gets confirmed, I'll know to keep plugging away at the second set of X.

At this juncture, I feel like I'm working on one of those soduku puzzles that you have to keep plugging answer after answer until you find the one he's looking for.

    I'll keep on keepin' on,

    Doc

i am on a completely different path than you. my sequence totally differs. I disagree with you about the 6th key.

it would be nice if the submission turnarounds were quicker for sure.

careful about revealing sequences. you dont want to disqualify yourself.

but definitely if they reveal a new key(hopefully friday) it will really really help.

Keep in the mind that it is possible that the 3 key thing in the most general sense could be correct, but your application of it could be wrong.

We do still have a key called the "omega" key.

I haven't been able to work out what the symbol is on the scratched out key (although I have a few ideas), so I'm not sure if that key is referenced in chapter 1 too. If it was, then it would be a hint that perhaps there is a 3 key thing at work.

It looks like the big discrepancy with most sequences is at the sixth key. The "08" vs "18" and I can tell you that I have both. At the sixth key on the Alpha and Omega sides I have one or the other, but all my submissions were wrong.
