# Thread: New clue: sixth number

1. Anyone hear an explosion? That was my train of sequence being derailed.

2. My sixth key is confirmed by this clue, just as the last two number give-away's also confirmed my sequence. The odds of that are 1:12000. I've had part of this sequence down for many months. I also think many of you have as well. I also believe I know why none of us who have had this knowledge for a while now have won. But I'm selfish and am going to keep that info to myself. (yes I'm a competitive jerk). However, just to make up for that a little, I would like to point out to some of you that if the number you are looking at from that movie doesn't fit your sequence, perhaps you should consider watching *more* of the movie.

Yeah, I know what you're saying kibitz.

It seems to me that not all clues are created equal. This one says to me "you might be right, or you might be wrong".

In other words, it says nothing at all.

I also had the 6th key right if I am interpreting the clue correctly by watching "more" of the movie.

5. Sure - exactly which compartment are they referring to?

6. On further reflection, I think there's an important hint in this clue that helps disambiguate. Read it again.

7. It's gotta just mean "8". Anything else is an overinterpretation, right?

Calvin, I think Lobster picked up on something important that I had originally missed. I'm headed to dinner and a movie tonight, and I'll think more on it later.

It's definitely meaning an '8', but it has a second, correct interpretation as well, and it's not an overinterpretation.

I didn't read the clue yet, but from what you have said, it fits for me and makes sense. I checked my sequence and it works. My third makes it work

now that I think of it and my past attempts at the puzzle...this one is a doozie! Specifically constructed to confuse people Its meant to put people on a track that they think they are right, who arent...and also put people off the track, who had the right idea. Be careful with this one
