# Thread: New clue: sixth number

1. ## Left to Right?

Is is just me or am I the only one who thinks the sixth number for the Chapter 1 sequence should be "three"?

What did the president say the number was?
Two-three-four-seven-eight-six.
The second number used to open the compartment in National Treasure Book of Secrets is "three."

You know, right at the end, in the library, before they open the compartment and actually find the Book of Secrets? Right? "Eight" is the fifth number not the second and I don't even know how you figure eighteen is related.

Kain,

This looks like one of those cryptic clues.

When the main character tried opening the compartment in the desk at Buckingham Palace, he tried two different numbers. The first number was 1819, the second, correct number was 1876.

The clue hinges on which 'compartment' is being defined. As you've noted, there is more than one.

Wow, there we go again, making everything more complicated than it has to be. While I do see some truth to what you are saying, I just have to believe that "The Compartment" that Ron is talking about is the one that is in the title of the movie.

Keys 3, 13, and 8 are all reasonable interpretations for this clue IMO. We will need to use other clues to help decide which it is.
