    Well, I got this:
As with any of these puzzles, they could be done probably several ways and there is room for interpretation and error.

No, there really is only one way to do this. Try again. You just have a typo you need to fix and rotate it. Here's the correct sequence to begin with.

ok. so, I have no idea why I can't get rid of the space between "Tu" and "ey" but make sure you delete it.

I looked at it again, and I see much more to that clue. Look carefully at what I posted above on the second line. If I do the puzzle a little different again, I think I can get "reverse". If you take that second line and use Caesar(10) on it, I get more. I haven't figured it all out, but there is more to this clue for sure.

Yeah I don't know about that. Either I'm really dense at the moment and going to need a lot of explanation or it's just not there. IMHO, these transposition ciphers are really unlikely to result in a second layer of hidden text.

I suppose what I am thinking is maybe you can do it two ways. Forwards, and reverse, if that makes sense? There might be more than one cipher involved.
    the sequence begins...
With what I wrote and you look at it like a crossword
the quest begins .. treasure. I have inserted eat and tae at the beginning and end. Perhaps I'm going to far with this. I'm thinking about the finish line and thinking the end might be "treasure hunt" as per the invisible ink clue. The second way I'm looking at this is not a transposition cipher, but perhaps some combo of reverse, atbash and caesar as an encrypt step.

You probably should get reverse if you decrypt each line because the meaning is pretty straightforward in that you start at "X" or the finish line and put the keys in reverse order so that you end just before the starting line because if you reach the starting line, you have gone too far because the solve is complete.

I'm at the point where I can't quite put my finger on it just yet or something else. Struggling through things does help, but perhaps I might need a bone, or maybe there is nothing else to find. Give me a few days. If I am right, then there might be second or third meaning as well... based on the words I can see of treasure, reverse, and queen. I understand how the sequence begins

if you just take the keys, how do you get here?
take the keys and atbash. Caesar(1) instead of caesar(25) to encrypt. wha..t is beforeU. How does this tie in with a freemason cipher?
    ate zgv caesar(1)
