    3. Jan 10: Look before the jeep

    5. Jan 17: Click on the golden eagle's eye for the next clue
    6. Jan 20: Only use letters from the story
    7. Jan 24: Chapter 1 Extra Clue: A = omega
    8. Jan 27: Go back to the Golden Eagle Eye for your next clue
    9. Jan 31: The sequence begins by encrypting what is before UXXXXXX
    10. Feb 3: The sixth number in the sequence is the second number used to open the compartment in National Treasure: Book of Secrets
    11. Feb 7: If you've reached the starting line you've already gone too far
    12. Feb 10: {missing}
    13. Feb 13: The omega key starts before "what you know"
    14. Feb 17: To find your sequence think of a cipher backwards for it is not the words you seek but the letters.

    Feb 21: Click on Marily's "best friend"
    Feb 24: By the time you hit the mist your alpha key is finished
    Feb 28: (i never solved this, but I suspect it directed us back to the eagle eye because a new number appeared)
    Mar 2: Not seeing what is there and reminiscing......the treasure will be found by what is missing.....
    a simple addition cipher must do.......to find your pleasure in the last clue

    I chose to ignore this clue as well as the eye revealed what was most important to me

    I think sometimes just seeing all the clues in one place gives the brain a good ole smack to the cortex and a shout of "wake up"!! Thanks for posting the most recent list Steve.

    thanks for the update steve. my biggest problem is with the clue " your omega key starts before what you know". depending on the interpretation this either means the omega key literally starts before the phrase "what you know" in the book (since what you know is in quotes, there is a good chance this is what it means) or that it actually means that it comes before "the alpha key".

    the eagle eye tells us that the first map keys are 1,20,5,14,_3,_,_9. and the clue "by the time youve reached the mist your alpha key is finished. this is basically saying that the first part of the map sequence is the alpha key, then how can the omega key come before "what you know"?

    its back and forth whether or not the keys he has released are actually the first keys on the map. if the omega key simply is the letter "A" according to the other clue than this makes sense (since "1" or "a" is the first map key and comes before everything else".

    but if thats true then the clue "the omega key comes before what you know" is redundant.

    logically the alpha key is the first half of the code and omega is the last part. but then how can omega come before the alpha? this is the battle that is going in my mind.

    its driving me crazy lol

    one note: if the eagle eye link had said something like "these are the last keys of the map sequence .....9,_,_,3,_,14,5,20,1" (for example), would you even consider that it might actually be the first keys of the sequences? i think not.

    so, like everyone else i think, ive been entering one solution and then reversing it the next day just to make sure. i feel like im wasting half a weeks submissions trying this.

    also, i think a couple of my submissions are way better and logical then whatever the actually answer is lol

    Guttom, you are not alone in your conundrum. This has been one of the plaguing questions all along. After all, the clues do say that A is equal to omega. Thus one could easily interpret that as saying that your alpha sequence is actually your omega sequence. This would also bring in the idea of a third key then, which would be the sequence that would come before the alpha sequence.

    However, the one thing I am now going back to thinking is that we now have a clear definition that there is an alpha key and he refers to them separately (i.e. "The ghost of cooper past holds your omega key", and "once you've hit the mist, your alpha key is finished") Unless he is really trying to throw us off track, I believe that they are indeed 2 separate things and that would logically mean that the alpha key is indeed the beginning of the sequence and that the omega key will follow. I could be wrong of course since I myself have never won an eagle. (duh...right!)

    Now back to the "what you know" I believe that the fact that it is in quotes is very significant here. If he was providing a clue that would use an inferrence, I don't think he would quote it, because that would draw too much attention to that one particular phrase as something to be deciphered. The real question here is whether it is the first occurence of the phrase "what you know" or the second.

    In my opinion, the first time we see a number from the second half, we will have a quick and much more difinitive direction and potentially a winner within minutes, hours, or days.

    @guttom2:

    "the eagle eye tells us that the first map keys are 1,20,5,14,_3,_,_9. and the clue "by the time youve reached the mist your alpha key is finished. this is basically saying that the first part of the map sequence is the alpha key, then how can the omega key come before "what you know"?"

    I have been going on the assumption that letters not words make up the keys. So my mis-post about the 1st ten numbers is on target so far....corroberrated by the posting of the number 9. "...hit the mist.....alpha key finished"

    Using that same logic, a series of letters starting either forward or backward from "what you know" reveals the omega key......the most interesting thing about my omega string is that there is no "J" (working backward) until 3 pages later! Unless I just missed it, but it doesn't matter because the "J" is the only letter left. It also happens to be the number 10, as in ATEN = 10

    I believe the alpha and omega keys are exactly what we think they are and that they indeed overlap. Put what you have for the keys in order and then convert them to roman numerals. Then you will see where there could be interpretations of omega sequences beginning within the alpha sequence.

    Wow. I've decided to spend a few brain cycles on this puzzle, and I found something really interesting, but I think it's a secondary solution.

    Did anybody the answer that tells you specifically where to go for the first half of the map puzzle?

    Bah. Did anybody 'find' the answer that tells you specifically where to locate the first half of the map puzzle?

    imo that would be the clue which has mist in it. it's simple. it's direct. and it matches my numbers. of course, the next number posted might not match what I have, but then.......oh well (I will pout, and slam my fist, and shake it at the moon!)
