Red face Eeny meany miney mo!

Catch a number sequence by the toe
If it hollers let it go!
Dance around as if in pain,
then you start all over again!
    My mother says that you
    Are IT!

Just toss all the numbers in a hat & draw them out one by one! Can't be any worse than what we currently are wracking our brains doing!

Who stole my basket wicker??? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Since Meaner has started a new thread, I'm going to use it as my soapbax, just so as to not lose my comments in the many other threads. I know Meaner is just using some comic relief to relieve his frustration.

There has been too much complaining about the clues in this hunt. I believe Ron has been very helpful with all the clues he has released. Remember people, you need to use your skills to "solve" the map sequence. It is all in the clues. Use your 'noggins'. We are a special group of people that have this affinity to solve puzzles. If someone made it easy, then you wouldn't feel satisfied with the effort. With the diverse group we are, and the many different approaches thereof, we can help each other with 'nudges' and hints (no concrete answers), so that we can produce a winner among us, (preferrably me...lol). Let's try to keep a positve atitude and set our minds to the task.

I imagine that it's incredibly difficult to create a treasure hunt of this magnitude that is not too easy, but not too hard either. I'm guessing that he erred on the side of making it too hard, knowing that he could release clues as time went by to lower the level of difficulty in a structured and targeted manner.

I HOPE that once the solutions are known, we all look at the non-clue methodology and say "Ok, that makes sense to me, and it would have been possible without all of the clues to solve this thing had we looked at it the right way. And had we found the right way, we would have known for sure that it indeed was the right way."

If the solution seems completely arbitrary, that will be frustrating beyond belief. Even though I currently have a method or two I can use to derive the released keys, I really have no piece of information indicating that this is what I should do.

Remeber we can use each other to help clarify or interpret the clues.

Oh, I've done a whole lot of using and being used as far as interpreting clues go! But at the end of the day, no one has ever found (to my knowledge) a definitive reason that any of the clues should be interpreted a certain way. In fact, the more people I discuss clues with, the more interpretations I end up with!

There are many problems with the way that Ron is releasing clues.

    1) If you've only just started the hunt (and I know several people who have) then you've just been given a mass of clues that many others had to wait almost two years for.
    2) If you're not on Facebook or Twitter then you get a summary of the previous weeks clues in an e-mail that arrives three or four days later - if you're not subscribed to the newsletter then you don't get them at all.
    3) As with the newsletter, the site blog contains the clues from the previous week but this isn't updated as soon as a new clue is released.

Clues should be sent out by e-mail to everyone who's registered and not just to those who've signed up for the newsletter or who happen to be on Facebook or Twitter.

I don't have an account with Facebook or Twitter, but can still read the clues in both places as they are released, so this is not a problem.

    Eeny meeny miney moe!
Where are these clues meant to go?
A new one here, a new one there
    Funny how in the rules,
These types of clues aren't mentioned ANYWHERE!

    Wire briar limberlock
    Sixty geese in a flock!
One flew east, one flew west,
    I'm about ready for the
    Cuckoo's nest!

Ron be nimble, Ron be quick!
Ron has us ALL jumping the candlestick!
Over the river, through the woods,
But not where it would do the most good!

    Silver eagles shining bright
    All alone somewhere tonight.
Wish I may, Wish I might,
    Finally get the sequence right!
"We may not be first, but at least we are not last!" Meaner Simikkles RULE!
