"Fly to the east towards setting sun" is what I got as most probable.

Might this be similar to C5 Q12? (the only queston I can't find my notes for... forgot what it said but looks somehow similar

The bigger issue is not this clue (it's only a single clue -- no big deal if we don't get it), but instead the mounting evidence that anagram(s) may be part of a C2 solution.

If we are having difficulty disambiguating an anagram where we KNEW the ciphertext for certain, I can only imagine that it would be nearly impossible to have any confidence in an extracted anagram when you're not 100% confident in what the ciphertext is to start with. It's possible to anagram thousands of the wrong ciphertexts and still get reasonable looking clue or key-looking outputs.

To be honest, I think Tuesday's clue has already been solved, from what I see in this thread. However, I don't think it is very recognizable because it appears to be only half of the full clue. I'm feeling the second half will be presented on Friday.

While an anagram to the C2 solution can't be ruled out, I'm not going to follow that rabbit just yet. The clues to C1 weighted extremely heavily to backwardization in the solution, which never panned out at all.

Makes the most sense and is a logical solve

Before we get TOO cynical we should consider the idea that perhaps C1 had more than 1 solution, and perhaps some of those clues that clearly had nothing to do with "take 10 letters from here, 10 from there" were hinting at alternate solutions. Based on what I see, there were likely at least 2, and probably even 3 completely different solutions for C1.

There are 56,000 more possibilities that use all 29 letters.....

Wow. How did you do that?

Simple - start with what seems are obvious words, subtract those letters from the original 29, and start to anagram the remaining letters. This leaves me with obvious solutions like:
Letters ten and two fight out sassy
Set out words, anything left states

Course I should be careful, one of these might just be the real solution and I'll inadvertently disqualify myself (yeah, real worry there gang!)
