This is the major issue with anagrams and the reason I can't stand them at all. With an anagram, you never know for certain if you are correct because there may also be another possible combination. Just take this clue for example. While we aren't sure of the answer as of yet, we already have possible combinations, none of which make any sense. Even the most logical so far like Lobster's, still doesn't seem right. After all, the sun doesn't set in the east, it sets in the west...Not sure how that could be a clue, but a great solve if it was done with brute force. Oh well, I guess we wait for more clues

I arrived at about the same conclusion as Lobster, I was more convinced by it than other possibilities because I found it by making a word out of each group of letters, then re-arranging the words I got to make it sound like a sentence. I mean...the letters for each word were all grouped together. That makes it seem more likely to be correct than DLester's guesses.

This clue really seems like half a sentence to me. Perhaps figuring out what the first/second half of the sentence could be the real clue.

Sorry, but, I believe the anagram is correct and makes absolute sense to me. What would cause the sun to set in the east?

i think its a great guess, but i dont think thats the answer.people see what they want to see when they anagram large groups of letters.

if thats correct, why omit the "the" in towards "the setting sun".
no reason to leave that out

It may be correct, but what I was getting at is that with anagrams, there really is no way to be absolutely sure, unless of course you are able to find the correct solution based upon the information you deciphered. That being said, in response to your question, the only way the sun would set in the east is by reversing the way the way the earth spins. Perhaps that means that we need to turn back time.

I don't think Lobsters solution is a guess. It is based on logical separation and mini anagrams of a few letters at a time, very similar to the example given in the Cracking the Code book for a transposition cipher. But I also agree that there very likely is something else going on here, much the same as when you can embed a message within a nonsensical passage by using bacon.

Isn't there 2 clues a week? Maybe when the next clue comes out on Fri(?) we'll have a better understanding of this clue. Or, we'll have to mix them together.

Considering no one is 100% sure they have the answer, I disagree
