There is more to the hidden message.....Follow the eagle's beak for only a part. If it's the eagle's beak on the home page of the website ,then it's toward the west or back to front. Again, I hope this saves you the time of going through all those colors and is my early gift to all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!!

    'Always a SECANTROAM'.

    SCENT SACRAMENTO AROMA

First = last, and that's the way it will 'always' be.

    Sacramento = CA

It's directing your attention to the first and last letters of the chapter.

PS--You'll encounter a similar clue much later down the road: DIME....IN THE MIND....NINTH

*row, column and number are all the same
*month and day are consecutively prime
    *do=due
    *Secantoam=C can't roam/rome
*accept it/except it is to find the plaintext
Anyone else think Ron is pointing us toward something in the chapter? She was staring at the sea.....

    Jeff,

    1. "Row, column and number are all the same": This occurs twice. When you start at the top left and go to the bottom right, the answer is '6'. When you start at the top right and go to the bottom left, the answer is '9'. As it turns out they're both correct. 'F' is the seventh number in one of the sequences. 'I' is the seventh number in the other.

    2. "Month and day are consecutively prime": The silver eagle portion of the clue is what has already been discussed. '53' refers to the page number. The advanced clue lies in the equation's formatting: 10 + 11 + 11 + 11 + 10. First = Last = Roman numeral 'X'. 11 11 11 = 33, or III III = 3 3.

    3. "do = due": First word of the chapter = Last word of the chapter. 'Charlie' = 'Sea', or 'C' = 'C'.

    4. "Secantroam": See above post.

    5. The Nov. 16 clue is a testament to Mr. Shore's abilities to construct clues. There is a lot of information being conveyed here beyond the plaintext answer.

Jeff, since you're the one who gave me the answer to that cipher, I'll leave it up to you to decide if you want me to discuss that one here on the forums or in a private message to you.

    Let me know,

    Doc

PS--If you ever want to hide something from me, just put it in a cipher. I came up with the solution to the chapter before I had the answer to that dratted code. LOL. The only way I solved the other one was from the helpful hints from Lobster and Pork Chop. Which is a perfect example of why I want to help everyone else move forward--I'm well aware I couldn't do this by myself.....
