Today's clue doesn't use the word "sequence" or "key", so the surface interpretation appears to be a misdirection to me. I can think of some interpretations that work... of course, they require that you have already successfully worked out a part of your sequence and KNOW you have the right keys, which I haven't, and don't, so today's clue isn't much use to me at this time.

Aaaack!

He's just being clever....

'F' is most definitely the seventh number of one of the sets of 10.
'I' is most definitely the seventh number of the other set of 10.

The fourteenth letter isn't 'F', it EQUALS 'F'.

Do you remember the freemason cipher that was used extensively throughout the 240 questions?

An 'L' isn't just the twelfth letter of the English alphabet....

It's a freemason character.

....that equals 'F'.

Doc

PS--I've been SO waiting for a phone call.... I want to help SOMEBODY get this one in the bag. Figure out the final part that I'm apparently unable to comprehend.

Doc, how did you come up with the 7th letter being I in the second 10? Did I miss something somewhere?

Squirrelio,

Go back to the soduku facebook clue and look at both arms of the 'X'. Going down one diagaonal, the row/column combination is '6'. Going down the other diagonal, the row/column combination is '9'.

As pointed out, when you 'reverse' the counting of these diagonals, both arms have the same row/column combination of '8'. I could be mistaken, but I think that might be for the Golden Eagle, because that's when the 'reverse' stuff kicks in.

Ok, I'm following you now. I guess there are a few questions that I can't seem to figure out at this point.

#1. We still have no real concrete explanation for the tlboon, elfids, etc clue.
#2. If we follow the eagle's beak, which one do we follow. The website has the beak facing left, the facebook page has it facing right.
#3. If we follow the eagles beak for only a bit, how many is that? Do we assume Alpha and Omega again? If so, is it a 10-10 split or are we guessing as to how many one portion will be like we had to do with chapter 2?

Obviously we are fairly certain at this point that the caesar shift is required to get the correct solution, but which caesar shift do we use? Is it the "traditional" shift of +3, or a -3, or do we apply the same one as the poem, which is +1. Even the clues Ron has given have used both + and -.

Going back to the riddle clue, I find it odd that when listing those 4 items, they were separated by commas but there was not the word "and" between the 3rd and 4th word as is traditional when providing a list. This leads me to believe that these 4 words are directions rather than an anagram of a phrase; something like: left, right, up, down will be needed to pull this one out of the hat. Either that, or it is truly a phrase rather than individual words. Something stupid that anagrams out to a rabbit's big ears...will be needed. The problem I have with that is I have literally looked and somewhere close to 750,000 possible anagrams as a whole phrase with nothing that even comes close to resembling a real cohesive statement. Now, the one thing that I did find really odd is that each word independently will substitute cipher nicely into another word, however, they still will not form anything recognizable as a list.

I don't expect anyone to have these answers, just my observations and why I believed that we cannot come up with a logical solution based upon these clues.

6. I just noticed the Golden Eagle Eye no longer has the old Chapter 1 clues, it now states "At this time there is no clue here."

I am fairly certain that I completed the first major step of the C3 solution a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful time doing it. It was done using no facebook clues, and involved a fascinating series of deductions that one day I hope I'll be able to share.

This second part is a bit of a nightmare though. I am running into numerous (seeming) inconsistencies and indeterminate conclusions between facebook clues and the internal clues. The red herrings also appear to be getting progressively worse (and progressively "still" and "secantroam" more ambiguous in determination), which I hadn't thought possible.

So I'm pretty much stuck I think, unless the solution I submitted a few days ago is correct -- which I don't think so because it doesn't fully satisfy all implications of the last facebook clue.

I'll keep digging away, maybe find something that finally breaks some of these inconsistencies...

Can anybody offer a hint for this? I thought with all the X's it was some sort of rotating cipher.

Multi-steps required. You're on the right track. Try some stuff with the pieces...

Did I miss some clues about the start of the sequence? Most of the new clues look like they talk about the "final" or 14th or other "end" pieces. Does anyone have any idea where the first part of the solution starts?
