    Default Chapter 3 clues

With the solving of chapter 2, we (well some of us?) will... in time... turn out attention to chapter 3.

I actually started on chapter 3 quite some time ago, and if you thought chapter 2 was confusing, I think you'll find that this one is more of the same in terms of confusion. I think most of us at least got the whole "go down in a straight line" thing pretty quickly, mainly from Chip's description of the letters going down the rock. The rotating bird (I think) hinted at "rotating the book" to read sideways too.

I don't see any obvious starting points for chapter 3. I've got a couple of ideas about WHERE in the text to look, but no idea on cipher or even precisely where to start extraction. No idea on any solid keys to test any ideas either. No clue if one cipher or more than one cipher is used.

Hopefully chapter 2's solution will help shed some light on how to decipher this stuff, otherwise we're looking at yet another 50 extra-clue experience ahead of us.

    Anyway, good luck all.

I am just glad that there is only one text to work on...

I too, am looking forward to get back into the hunt. I quietly took a pass on Chapter Two because I did not want to go to the effort to grab a second book.

I should hit the 240 club within the next two months, National Novel Writing Month permitting.
The true prize is the hunt itself.

Does the latest invisible ink clue ("... you must speak to ...") that alludes to "this chapter" refer to ch 2 or ch 3?

Wouldn't it have been more constructive to refer specifically to a given chapter? Or, is that too much to ask?

It's one of three invisible ink clues that refer to chapter 2.

It cycles through, changing every day.

Thank you, Pork Chop, I appreciate your prompt response.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to sift through the invisible ink on a daily basis. Who does? Does anybody find it fun or intellectually invigorating?

I'd rather solve partial differential equations than click those damn colors again.

Definitely the most tedious clue in the history of treasure hunts.

I notice the last posts are by Pork Chop, Gammon, and Lobster. - Anyone else care to join the platter?
