Hmm can't see anything new there. The most recent video I see at that link is "Birds of a feather event in San Francisco"

You're right. Just tried the link again and it's gone. I still have the video up on my screen after watching it and can still play it. But, cutting and pasting the same url into the browser leads to Birds of a Feather. Who knows? Ron works in mysterious ways.

And to further clarify, if she KNEW it was right, there would be no need to say, "Which submission was it? I've made so many."

You are right Morrigan, Heather did not say anything like "When you have the solution, you KNOW you have the solution", I said it and did not say that she said it. Simply expressing a maxim learnt after going on many wild goose chases totally convinced of being on the right trail. It is so easy to fall into the trap. What she does say is that the last FB clue was a confirmer for her. LOL

I understand that you were not quoting Heather. My overall point was that while your maxim may be a good one in other hunts where there is some self-confirming mechanism in the answer, it is not a good maxim in this case. All anyone has "found" so far are random strings of letters that fit the Facebook clues. Depsite claims of overarching theories and so forth, no one, including the winners have found a theory or reason behind why the keys are in the order they are. It is simply a search and destory mission to locate a seemingly senseless series, and no one solves it until enough keys have been given to give it away. In theory, it was supposed to solvable without clues. I no longer believe that to be the case. I do agree with you in the sense that the simplest interpretation of the clues given is likely to be correct.

I no longer believe that the random string of letters called a 'solution' can be found without additional Facebook clues. Still have not seen answer to chapter 3, but I am sure without being clued that capital letters were involved and the final four being different from the rest, it would have taken months or years to be solved. This is why I believe IF all the silver eagles are won years from now and with a one year limited to solve the golden eagle map, and NOBODY will ever win a million dollars.

    Rule 2 J:

"If the Golden Eagle hasn't been found within one year, keys will be removed and additional clues will be given until the Golden Eagle has been found"

Not sure if you have worked through the explained solutions of CH1 and Ch2 but the series of letters is not at all random. In both cases the problem is at which letter to start and in which direction to go. And this two times to get the two 10 letter series. Once you have the two start points and the two directions you fill in the letters in the same way as any cipher key. You write the first letter, you write the second letter if it has not already been used, you write the third letter if it has not already been used, and so on until you have the first ten. Of course you ignore any letter after the T. You then go to the second start letter and carry on this process to get the 20 letters. In Roger's case there was no Q but as he had the first 19 it did not matter. In Gisela's case the J and Q where missing.

    Heres the CH1 example

At ten 0’clock in the morning......Afew eminutes later, a light came on in the csockpit indicating that a door had been opened, and the crew surmised that Cooper iwas trying to use the aft stairway. The pilnot used the intercom to ask the mhijacker
    A T E N O C L K I H - F M S R G P D B J - Q

So if you are (Very) lucky enough to interpret the clues regarding the start points and the directions there is no need for FB clues. Of course with 22,072 charecters (Ch4) from which to start and numerous "Directions" the FB clues sure come in handy. But I still clasify the majority of them as confirmers.
