this new clue goes along with my train of thought, but so do the rest and still ... no eagle - how many other ways can I organize those keys??

There have been several clues this time that confirm my beliefs on where to find the string of letters. The problem now all comes down to where to begin the string and where to end it, and whether we are dealing with more than 2 strings. For the 2 chapters I worked on prior to this one (and in retrospect for chapter 2), the mechanism of finding the strings is fairly simple. It always just comes down to where to begin it. I believe that the first time they give us something credible for a beginning point, it will significantly change things. Until then, it's the same ol, same ol brute force.

I know what this new clue is referring to, but I've never been able to disambiguate which of the 3 or 4 key-ordering interpretations of the underlying clues has to be used, so it really doesn't help me.

Omega sequence, and the red-herring scattering of omega related prose all over the place makes determining the true starting point difficult. I've just been going through them all one at a time.

This one I can't work out either, and it's important:

April 1: You can go over on this one.

    Is this saying:

    1. "hey, it's April Fools day. You're an idiot if you go over on this one!!"
    2. "hey, it's April Fools day. I'm just going to confuse you today. This clue is just random words. Ignore it entirely. I'm not telling you anything about going over or not."
    3. "uhh, it's just a date, chill out. You really DO want to go over on this one"

I had some incredible sequences rejected this past week, that fit all sorts of "OMG!" validators. I like to believe they were intentionally planted there as red herrings, rather than figments of my imagination. Unfortunately, odds are they were figments!

    The quest continues...

Exactly Lobster. I am with you 100%. I have had some sequences that are like, holy crap I can't believe it was right there, only to get those rejections later. But, like I said before, I think that the mechanism to finding the sequence is actually very simple, its just a matter of pinpointing where the sequence begins or is divided that is the difficult part here.

One of the other clues that really bothers me the most is the: Won more than chapter 1 clue. Considering this is "backawards in its own way" does this mean

    A. Now more than chapter 1
    B. is this chapter 1 more sequence than we used in chapter 1
    C. is it that the missing letters for this chapter are 1 more than chapter 1 (just the Q).
    D. is the word Won significant for where to begin the sequence(s)

No idea, only time will tell, but I am certain now that I am on the right path. Just as I was on the others. #facepalm....so close....

Regarding the treasure of camelot: give me an hint to solve the border puzzle(s) and i tell you where is the treasure

This sentence is just to say that regarding this quest everything is about this cipher now, so i guess it is normal that people are afraid to talk to much

Another day, another perfect solution, lol. The end had a particularly humorous validator.

Won more than chapter 1 in it's most simple form means 23 because chapters two and three have also been won. You can decide what the 23 stands for but it is definitely over the usual keys of 1 to 20.

Jeff, I understand that line of thinking but for what i believe in where the letters will be found, or moreover how they will found, that logic doesn't fit at all. Obviously I don't know for a fact that what i believe is correct, but the anomalies i see cannot be ignored. When the answer if finally revealed, I will hopefully be able to divulge more insight into that so long as my theory holds true. And thats all this is...a theory, but I have been right on my theories thus far, so I have a strong feeling about this one as well. Just need that first or last or first of the second set of letters. thats about all i need to know where to begin and get this wrapped up.

If the first is equal to the last, then Atbash would be the substitution cipher used. Any discussion? This message board is lacking any interest which leads me to believe that interest is also waining for this hunt. That's for sure.

I think more people are seeing the trends and are able to make some conclusions based on the hints so they are not wanting to give away too much. Until recently, I thought the chance of me winning an eagle was less than 1%. Now I feel I "might" just win one. As we feel our chances getting better, we are probably holding our cards closer to our chest since it is no longer an impossible dream (ie, I am no longer just "chasing rainbows")
